If the Amazon rating system allowed half marks I would have given this novel 3.5 stars. This book is an interesting read but it isn't in the same league as the orignal Finder's Stone Trilogy. Finder's Bane reunites the reader in most welcome fashion with 2 of the characters from the original trilogy - Finder the carefree Bard and the Saurial Wizard Grypht. I quite like the new cast of characters that is assembled in this book to, they represent an interesting mix. The storyline involves them travelling to Sigil in an attempt to prevent the resurrection of the dark god Bane. Walinda & Holly are well fleshed out characters and I particularly enjoyed their mutual distrust of each other & Walinda's coquettishness with Joel. However, the character of Bear is the weak link in this story and I feel that his services as a protagonist in this tale should have been cut short. All in all though, Finder's Bane is a well-scripted and engaging story that I sailed through in 2 days.
