I'm still not sure it didn't??!!
At times I felt some of the scenarios were a bit far fetched but, nevertheless i never considered giving up.
I’d have liked to have had a resolution for the journalist searching for his daughter and also would have liked to find it more about the detective’s son.
Red herrings, blind alleys and twists and turns kept me guessing, which is unusual as I usually manage to work out the 'villain' fairly quickly.
Quite frightening to imagine that there could be real monsters out there
I did suspect who the culprit was but didn't even consider what they had done.
I like the layout of the story too.

The characters in the book are well defined and in some cases wicked. Right up to the end you don’t know “whodoneit!”
Page turner of note. Well written and easy to read.
