The extra value added (EVA? ;-)) stems especially from Bob's rare ability to weave the multifaceted aspects of accounting and finance beautifully together into a whole picture- linking consistently back to the underlying business cases and to one of the main tasks of managers - being able to make sound judgments.
I fully recommend this book to all serious business students and busy managers - who want to see and understand the "whole" at play.
Sadly this book can never substitute the inspiring live classes with Prof. Bob Ryan - but it is as close as it gets...
Also hopefully his books will be soon also available as Kindle format - so much easier to travel with....
