Well this book did exactly that.
Matthew Weston, don’t call me Matt, was a great character. He was your typical grade A a-hole. I find it amusing that a man who likes to bonk a variety of women, his way, his rules, is considered an a-hole. But that’s the general way it seems we describe them in these kind of books. Arrogant, self-assured, cocky, man-whore….Matt fitted the stereotypical alpha male in this book.
Ella was the proverbial shrinking violet. Troubled, virginal, lairy, feisty. Matthew called her “ugly”; she didn’t fit in with his club image but he gave her a chance because she had “something”. Something that made his d!ck hard and a desire to be balls deep in her, burning into his core.
She came with secrets and an obviously horrendous past that Matt wanted to know about. He felt protective towards her from the moment he saw where and how she was living. The moment he made her strip, made my heart beat fast and I had to keep swallowing bile when she explained what had happened to her. My heart broke as much as Matt’s did. Treated worse than a dog, scarred not just on the skin but inside her soul.
I felt it was at that point that Matt changed.Read more ›
The title is misleading and does not do the caring relationship justice. I can see how the lifestyle saved Ella and how it was, ultimately, what she needed.
The last few chapters confirmed most of my suspicions but the ending was totally unexpected.
One of the best one handed reads I've had the pleasure of reading ;-)
Off to buy the next naughty novel from this awesome author!! x :-)
all characters developed at a steady pace and nothing was rushed. Ellas story in particular was heart wrenching but ultimately heart warming.
I will definitely be reading this authors next book
Mathew ( NOT... Mat he would kick you out of bed for calling him that!) is a arrogant cocky club owner and a true Dom! ( who by the way I'm now in love with and is my no 1 book boyfriend lol) falls in love with Ella a girl with a terrible past who is down on her luck when she applies for a job at Mathews club and he gives her a chance. I loved Ella to with her sass and taking no crap of Mathew this is their story how they overcome the ups and down and helps her get over of her past I could not put this book down and can not wait for more from this Author....
Matt...sorry Matthew (might get told off for that!) is a character I instantly disliked from the first page. Arrogant, pig headed, controlling in all aspects of his life and generally chauvinistic...but it was all a front.
Yes he's a bit of an arse at times but behind that facade, we meet a brilliant guy. Yes a man who likes some pretty rampant sex but one girl would change all that.
Would change HIM.
"I'm taking us out for lunch, no arguments. You really have to learn to just accept what I do, because it's going to happen regardless of whether you like it or not."
She shrugs and walks away. She doesn't talk much, but that's fine with me. I don't like them overly vocal.
*Cue Susan's tutting and desire to dislike of this man*
But it doesn't last long...his walls (as well as Ellas), slowly lowers and they let one another in. We see his patience, his surprising morals and sense of protectiveness over this new girl he let into his workplace, home and heart...
It's my role as her protector and later hopefully, as her Dominant, to find a way to give her what she wants and protect her at the same time.
But as he learns more about the trauma Ella endures he pieces her slowly back together. He becomes her knight in shining armour.
It was very Cinderella/pretty woman style in lavishing this "ordinary girl" into the beautiful lady we know has endured so much.
Her eyes tell such an intense story of hurt and betrayal. It's all there, behind the brown, deep inside her soul.
This book truly threw me.Read more ›
