Herewith it insures uniformity of wire structure infilling of internal space and preventing deformation among the wires.Furthermore its diameter is 0.3sq (AWG22) which is three times bigger than a regular cable. It provides you sharp attack and hi-speed response of the sound. For the insulator of HPC-22W 0.18mm thick PFA (Teflon) is employed for its outstanding electric characteristic and lossless transmitting capability. I have seen some people complaining about both the length and the shape of this cable, and I think those complaints are perhaps unfair.

To be clear, this cable hasn't been designed for you to plug your iPod into your car stereo, even though some people use it for that purpose. Fiio designed this cable to be used to link the dock port on the iPod to an external headphone amplifier and/or DAC, and that is specifically why the cable is moulded in a 'U' shape and why it is so short, so that you can put your mp3 player back to back (or side by side) with your external/portable amp/DAC, and link the two together.

When used for the purpose for which it is intended, the cable does a great job, taking advantage of the iPod's line out function through the dock port. The cable quality is good, does exactly what it is supposed to do, and is also cheap.

Buy this with confidence, just don't complain that it is too short or the wrong shape to plug into your car stereo. That's not actually what it was designed for :-)

I bought this because the volume from my iPhone's headphone socket was low, when played through the "aux" input on my BMW Professional head unit. I was forever increasing and decreasing the volume control when changing sources between CD, aux and radio. No more! Simply plug the adaptor into the dock port of the iPhone/Pod/Pad, connect the other end of the cable to the "aux" port and enjoy line-level output, same as the CD input - perfect.

Only blot is that the cable could do with being a couple of inches longer (who couldn't?). Still, at this price, you really can't quibble - an extension cable would only be a few quid.

I must start by stating that I love this product and regardless of how many times I have to replace it, I will!

The difference in music when listening via the external headphone AMP, connected via this cable is exceptional.

I have had 2 of these cables, the first arrived and did not work on one channel, the second survived for approx 3 weeks and then had the same issue in one channel. I keep the phone/Cable/DAC in a jacket pocket and listen to A LOT of music, so it may just get worn with all the movement. Once again, I will be getting a replacement though as its just worth it.

I use a combination of Iphone 4/ Accudio Music Player/ Fiio E06 Headphone Amp and AKG450 headphones. if you have a set of headphones that are on Accudio's supported list then be prepared for a MASSIVE jump in quality, the AKG 450 are on the list and sound sublime compared to listening on the Iphone and normal music player.

Hard to say whether a connector cable is good or bad as its just a cable. If it worked it would be 5 star if it doesn't it's one star, not really an in between.

So with that in mind, the first few weeks it was 5 star and now it's broken it's a 1 star. The real problem is the wire is way to short at about 8cm and it bends too tight which has caused internal structure to come away. Now it just crackles as you try Nd find the sweet spot!

Buy cheap buy twice and just be thankful it is cheap.

I use a FUJIYAMA FiiO EO6 in-line amplifier for headphones/iPods/DAB portable radio use etc to improve the audio output quality particularly important for users of up-market Hi-Fi music headphones.
So the FiiO L3 line out dock cable is made specifically to fit the many Apple iPod generations of music players BECAUSE the long flat multiway socket at the bottom end (base) of an iPod has a fixed line audio output level of considerably improved dynamic range and frequency response compared to the headphone socket on the top of iPod players!
Now in order for owners of FiiO headphone amplifier/ adapters to achieve exactly accurate mechanical fitment of 3.5mm stereo mini jack to their sockets FiiO have made available there own range of accessory audio cables to achieve perfect matching free of mechanical disaster as one might just experience when using cheap cables with badly made connectors!
However FiiO manufactured cable connections are more expensive than non-branded cable connections because they are PRECISION made to a very high standard!
Having related all these very important facts to Amazon users, I can now enthusiastically recommend their accessory range of matching cables.
I use an iPod 120 GB music player and iTunes recorder with the FiiO L3 Line Out Dock Cable connected to an FiiO EO6 headphone in-line headphone amp. with amazing stereo headphone results using a pair of AKG model K550 reference headphones. (see Amazon Hi-fi Audio web pages)

If you buy the FIIO E7 for use with an iPod, a line-out dock cable like this is essential. This is the most cost-effective LOD I could find and it matches the E7 in appearance and build quality. Really it should be bundled with the E7.

As other reviewers have pointed out on here, this does help to make the sound... sound, well, better. You should notice a difference from using the E5 connected to the iPod's headphone port in the normal to using it connected via this LOD. I say should because everyone's hearing is different and so some people might only notice a slight change. Like some people can only notice a slight difference between HD and SD TV's, it's quite subjective at times but having said that, I really do think this makes a difference.

The cable itself measures approximately 15cm in length and so isn't very long which can either be a good thing or a band one depending on where you place your headphone amp in relation to your iPod. This brings me onto the reason why I have deducted a star from my overall rating. The actual dock part of the cable that connects to your iPod has two very small clasps that latch on to the iPod's line out port. Because of this the L3 can come loose from time to time (usually just at one side) resulting in the music suddenly switching from ear to the other or cutting out altogether (when you disconnect the line out dock entirely while playing music then the iPod automatically pauses playback). Other people may not have this problem but I have tried both this line out dock and the previous model, the L1 and even a competitor's model: Sendstation's PocketDock. All have had the same problem for me of the LOD coming loose.

This may just be an issue of not placing the LOD and my E5 headphone amp in the correct way to stop possible tugging of the cable but I suspect it's because the clasps on these devices are either too small or not strong enough to maintain connection with the iPod.
