“I wanted her fifteen years ago and I still f--ing want her now.”

I never know how to review Aurora’s books... They are just that good I’m always left speechless, the stories she tells are beautiful, sexy and full of the kind of love that fills your heart, and this one is the same!

A second chance, emotional, love story. Lea and Austin were finishing up school and planning out their lives, no doubts about it, they were going to spend the rest of their lives loving eachother. Then tragedy strikes, a death, tearing them apart. Lea leaves the town with no plans to look back. Austin is left there to pick up the pieces.
Until tragedy strikes again, years later and Lea has to come back to the small town and people she abandoned years ago.

Every book Aurora writes I get sucked in, it captures my full attention and I fall in love each time, no different this time around, and I fell harder than before and that’s hard for me to say, you have met those Mayson men right? You've met Nico, right?! I fell in love with Austin, hard and fast, swooning, big time. This is a second-chance romance like I’ve said already, so they need to get through some of that stuff with each other, along with dealing with a tragedy, and dealing with fears too. This was so beautiful, you will feel ALL. THE. FEELS. Lea and Austin, are one of my top favourite couples for sure, the love between those two! Your heart will break, start to mend and then be put together in the most wonderful way. Love, loss, secrets, reunited love and new friendships all in one. Aurora has perfected it once again. I am very lucky to have been able to read this early and can’t wait for everyone else to fall in love with Lea and Austin.

“The difference between me and you, man, is I wouldn’t have stepped out on her. I would have fought for us, even if that meant loving her enough for the both of us.”

One of the better shorter books out there. I've tried to be more descerning with my stars the last few months, but my first question to myself when I attempt a review is about that ' hold' a book gets on me. That hold that makes me sneak peeks at it every chance i get because at times I HAD to put my kindle down to look after my family. It is xmas after all. If I'm sneaking around, even in the loo, then the book has caught hold . And this book held me.

He's utterly beautiful. A gorgeous character that was strong, decent and sexy as allllll hell when he got intimate.
She's likeable but not quite loveable. ..but that's just me. There was something about her reasons for running that just wasn't sound enough for me. I wanted to tell her off for being so cowardly. Yes I understand her fears. ..I just didn't think those fears were enough to do what she did. Or maybe to do what she did for so long. Mother was a party to that I agree....but.

Anyway if a book can make you think, and argue with yourself about it, then it's got that 'hold'. So 4.99. Would have gotten 5 if it had been a bit longer. Not dragged to death to squeeze another 100 pages out of it...but maybe another 30. I hated it ending because I truly loved him.

Easy recommendation and I'll be watching for the next.
This will be my review on goodreads also.

This is one hell of a book! And my god did I enjoy it!

I fell in love with Lea almost immediately and also with Aurora's writing. This is a story that will make your heart break and mend it all at once. It has all of the components a good romance story should have and you will enjoy every written word as you too will fall in love with Lea, with Austin and with the story itself.

As much as I adored the book and I will definitely be reading it again, I was left feeling like I wanted more... I can't put my finger on exactly what that more was I just felt that I needed it. Saying that it doesn't detract from the amazing story and the phenomenonal writing, it may even just be me.

This is definitely a book that all good romance lover should oink up and read!

I love the Until Series and The Underground Kings so I could not wait to jump into this as I love how Aurora writes alphas! Happily Ever Alpha….whoop!

Lea and Austin found each other’s love as teenagers, it seemed very pure and real, as it should! Little Lamb and the Big Bad Wolf…even their names had fate on their side! But then a tragedy happens and their promised future is no more and Lea has to leave.

Fast forward 15 years and they are both back in the same place…home…and what transpires is a story of 2 lost souls and their breathtaking love for each other….can they find each other again or are they so different now?

Austin is so alpha he needs a Harley and a cut…he could melt my undies straight off! He is a total gentleman whilst being scorching hot with it!! It seems to me the last 15 years he has been planning his life for when Lea comes back – like he knew fate was on his side. Lea – poor girl with the weight of the world on her shoulders – she has had so much happen in her life it’s a wonder she is so strong.

The pain and the feeling from the characters really shone out and gripped me…and then the longing…..aaarg the longing…the writing is superb! I wanted to scream and then sob into my box of Kleenex for these 2 emotionally tortured souls!

‘He walks out of the room, leaving me fighting to breathe. But for once, it doesn’t hurt.’

In this book you get a hint of the backstory of the characters for the next book…..I can confirm that tissues will be required!
