I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love the characters especially Jonah Slade. He is such a sweetie, the kind of hero I like. Blake is hilarious, I love the guy talk between him and Jonah and the rest of the UFL guys. This book has a really good plot and great mixture of humour and sexy scenes. Read it!

I love bruiser/fighter/boxer heroes, and when I read that Jonah was an MMA fighter, I was all over it. Muscles, tats, and kick-azz male attitude? It's not always pretty; it can be a brutal or savage personality at times, but I really love a guy who's not afraid to use his fists. He'd totally punch your face in for doing wrong to his girl. Raw, masculine, protective, possessive, he only wants Raven. He might have been a player, no girl ever stayed the night, no one girl more than once, but once Raven entered his orbit, that was one fight he was never going to win. And he didn't want to.

I loved that Jonah called her "my girl." Nothing mattered but Raven. "She's mine. I'll do whatever it takes to protect her. Whatever. It. Takes." And I knew he meant it. Threatening to tear a man's b@lls off, pounding a face, breaking an arm, or firing a bullet, this is the hero who protects what's his, and if that doesn't make you sigh, I don't know what will. Not only is he tough and alpha all the way, Jonah is also sweet and tender to Raven. As for the sex, it was sexy and steamy, passionate and urgent, and just one big hot male ready to make a claim and firmly attach his woman to his side. I loved this guy.

Is Fighting for Flight a perfect read? I feel the pacing could be a bit better; I thought the heroine giggled too much (but that's probably just me. Don't really go for the giggly heroine); and there were a couple of times I wished both Raven and Jonah had played it smarter and their actions had been less predictable, but those weren't completely eye-rolling moments for me. Overall, the romance is sweet and sexy, and it felt good reading it. It looks as if this is the author's debut book, and if that's the case, I'm impressed with this effort. Not perfect, but a very good read with one hot, bruiser hero.

I really really love this book! It's NOT one of those stories where the hero manages to mess up. Where the leading lady has to forgive him cause he is an idiot. Oh no he knows what he wants and he loves without question, and yes he fights for her. This book is amazing! Jonah is HOT brilliant book. Thank u can't wait to read the next .........

Raven Morretti grew up estranged from her father, who is one of LA's most notorious pimps. Her mother is a prostitute. Living alone with the help and support of garage owner Guy, who has been more of a true father figure. Raven is a mechanic in Guy's garage.
When Jonah Slade famous UFL fighter comes to the garage to hire Raven to restore a car for him. The attraction between them is immediate.

For the most part I really enjoyed this story. The chemistry between Raven and Jonah is really hot. I loved the way the author built the sexual tension up to a fever pitch. Jonah has always been a playboy, never sleeping with the same woman more than once.
He is demanding and protective, and at 6' 5" he's visually intimidating. Raven is 20 years old and totally inexperienced with men, especially one like Jonah.

What made this a four star instead of a five star for me, was the plot concerning Raven's father. I found it a quite unrealistic that a man with a whole stable of women, earning money to fill his coffers. Would have hung around for 21 years just to set in motion the plan he had formed all those years ago. Especially as Raven was his daughter. It just didn't seem believable. Even more so considering his actions during the dramatic ending. This let the story down a bit for me.

There are a whole host of other characters in the story, my favourite was Blake another fighter and best friends with Jonah. Blake's story is next, I will definitely be reading that.
