As someone who's spent many enjoyable hours looking through old papers in the British Library, I thought this would be right up my street. Truth be told, though, for the longstanding fan it doesn't have much in the way of revelations or surprises. It's a reminder, too, that journalists are often get their facts wrong under the pressure of deadlines - there are some real forehead-slappers in here (and I say that as a journalist myself).

This book consists of 50 years' worth of articles drawn from the pages of The Times newspaper and is a nice way of following the story of Dr.Who as it unfolded from early reviews and interviews onwards

Excellent review of the Times material available. Could have been organised better - maybe Dr by Dr, it comes across as a little confused, but still very interesting to read.
