Blain's gift is that he can explain complex financial concepts in a way that is lucid and highly entertaining. Very few financial writers can do this. His polemic should be required reading for investors, traders, regulators, politicians, students and anyone, in fact, who wants to understand how on earth we got into this mess - and how to avoid another one in the future. Not for the faint hearted.
