I enjoyed Book One "The Twins Have Fallen". The genre it appeared to be is not one of my favourites, however, I like the author's style and the dynamic characters. Just when I thought it's be all wrapped up neatly – the author drops a bomb, and says, "That's all we've got time."
I was compelled to read Book Two "Life After Death", which, on the face of it, appears to give away the plot. The change of narrator was very smart. But I was very surprised where the story went from the outset. There's plenty of drama together with an undercurrent of humour. The story is unconventional in as much as you're never quite sure where its going. After tragedy, and health issues, the main character pulls herself up by her bootstraps only to be knocked down again. This story is progressing well. On the face of it each volume appears to be complete but you've always got the feeling that there's something going in the background that you can't quite comprehend – yet.
