They were so disappointing.

I purchased these in March and had them delivered to my son. We have bought these numerous times from different sellers, all perfect. These were totally stale, most of them dried up inside and the hazelnut had apparently had a distinct stale nut taste. Some of the choc. had changed color, not the "bloom" but as though they had slightly melted and hardened again, paper stuck on some. The sell by date was passed a couple of months, he ended up throwing them out. He didn't tell me until sometime later as he didn't want to hurt my feelings, but he had taken pics of them and the date, unfortunately I have changed my phone since and no longer have the pics. I am scared to order again, although they were a very good price for 48...but maybe you get what you pay for...

I love ferrero rocher, I mean seriously who doesn't? (besides this one girl i worked with who said the texture freaked her out but she was a weirdo who had flake and cucumber sandwiches) anyway.

The norm is delicious as you know, the dark chocolate one is delicious, but the coconut one is a bit weird, i like coconut but im not a big fan of it as there is a huge lack in consistency with coconut products but regardless of that the coconut one is a messy product, you open it and you spill coconut shavings on the floor, you go to eat it and you break off even more coconut shavings and/or you get them embedded in your beard, you try to have a sexy snack with your partner in bed and you end up getting coconut shaving in the bed sheets and they're as annoying as crumbs.

If you love coconut and dark chocolate or know that the person you're buying them for does then go for it, otherwise go get the original box of 42 as you can never get sick of ferrero rocher.

Picked this up during Black Friday 2017, for £8.66. My nephew is obsessed with Ferrero, and this is a nice selection to try out three different varieties without splashing out for 3x boxes. At this price, it was at least £5 cheaper than any supermarket. A pretty big box, too - see the attached pic for how it compares to my hand!

I bought these for an Easter present for someone but decided to keep them myself. I paid £6.85 for 32 pieces which i think is brilliant value for money.

Now i have a bone to pick with the manufacturer, what is up with your packaging? The normal gold ones are a breeze to open you can do it one handed, which is very handy when you are sat scoffing them in bed whilst reading on your kindle. The coconut and dark ones however are a major pain, i had trouble opening them with 2 hands. They do however taste scrummy but i think it would be better if they were packaged differently.

you cannot go wrong with these! I've bought several of these now - mostly for presents as for £10 you cannot go wrong, but also stashed the odd box for myself :-) The only issue I've had with several of these now is that the plastic box tends to arrive smashed - not entirely cracked so it's not suitable as a present, it's typically that one of the corners is damaged so when unwrapping the sellotape, you end up with lots of little sharpish pieces. As each of these comes in a bubblewrap, I imagine the damage happens during packing rather than during delivery. First couple of times I thought I'm unlucky but had around 5 boxes arrive damaged now so that's the reason for 4 stars. But otherwise, it's a great box of chocolates for £10 that I would 100% recommend.

The dark chocolates are utterly delicious BUT.. they are IMPOSSIBLE to open! Would have given 1* just for that but the chocolate is just too good to get away with 1*.. But the question begs to be asked...what sadist designed the dark choc wrapping??????

My box arrived within days, were great quality, and had a good 8 months left on the expiry date (not that they lasted 8 minutes in this house, but still nice to have the option of keeping them longer!). They were £10 (mid-Dec 2020), but I see that the cheapest is now £13.67, so maybe I got them reduced pre-Christmas or something. Either price is still very cheap compared to the supermarkets.

The chocolates themselves are nicely packaged individually, and the hard plastic box makes them ideal for sending through the post as a gift. My only packaging complaint is that it is very difficult to recycle the outer box- the local council does not accept it roadside, and even the local recycling centre said they couldn’t take it. This was disappointing, as it ended up in landfill. The individual chocolates do look very attractive, in their fancy wrapping, but again produce more waste than is strictly necessary (I got some Lily O’Brien’s chocs at the same time and they were in a cardboard box, with no individual wrappings, which seems far more environmentally friendly). However, the wrappers do add a certain “class” to the appearance of them, especially if gifting.

Taste-wise, I enjoyed the classic ones and LOVED the Rafaello, however I was not a huge fan of the dark chocolate ones (it was sort of Bourneville-esque dark choc - not a high enough cocoa % to be high quality, rich dark chocolate, but not sweet and creamy enough to be milk chocolate). However, I fully admit this is just down to my personal taste, there was nothing inherently “wrong” with the chocolates.

Overall, an attractive, good value box of chocolates, ideal for gifting. Improve the packaging and it’ll be five stars!!
