The pictures of the cars are amazing, makes a great coffee-table book for a petrolhead. It would have been nice if, when they decided to publish it in English, the publishers had spent a few extra ££s and hired one of the world's 400 million-plus native English speakers, and someone to check for typos, to ensure that the writing made sense. From what I can tell, they put the Italian version of the book into Google Translate and left it at that. It has been distracting trying to figure out what Mr Bonetto meant to say. There are a number of typos in the book at well - when you keep catching incorrect dates, facts and figures in a book that is all about the dates, facts and figures, it seriously detracts from the overall experience.
my brother kindly bought me this for my birthday. it is incredibly expensive new. i would highly recommend you buy it used, and he got it for three pounds. though the title 'used, good' can be misleading. this probably means its got a huge rip in the page or something disatstrous like a big coffee spill on it so get it 'used, very good' or preferably above that. even 'used, very good' got me a dramatic crease on the back cover. the photos are stunningly glossy, the actual pictures beyond arty. so I highly recommend this for a good, second hand buy.
