Really surprised at the tones this little Solid State practice amp can produce. I've always been a fan of big Valve Tube heads but with its USB connectivity I also have the ability to run this through a DA va ASIO4All to produce some awesome sounds with Virtual amp VSTS and Cabinet impulse responses. The fender fuse software is nice if you wish to customise a tone further... so many models its hard to choose :).

Fantastic amp and really works well especially if you use the Fusion software to download bespoke song effects.

Very good practise amp for the price. Sound is a little thin but its stacked with effects and simulations and its a steal at the price. Impressed.

The Mustang series of amps has come out top in multiple reviews and it only took me seconds to appreciate why. The sound quality is great and the 20 watt output is enough for small gigs, never mind just playing at home. The range and realistic quality the amp modelling presets is mind blowing (details below if you want to understand more) and incredibly easy to use.

Despite having seen demonstrations on Youtube, I had no idea what a diverse range of modelling sounds, tones and effects I'd be able to achieve, nor how easy it would be to switch between them. Inevitably you'll find that some of the 24 presets are offensive to your musical tastebuds, but you can download the exact sounds you want from the Fuse website in seconds and replace them with sounds and named band/artist settings of your choice (I've stocked up on Hendrix, Rolling Stones, classic retro rock n roll, blues and jazz. It would cost a fortune and an eternity of research to do this with separate effects units! The Fuse website includes both Fender's own designs and user uploads which people have rated. There are great search and filter features and several passionate uploaders have their own Youtube channels to demo their effects (see "Intheblues" channel). In addition to reversing setting changes with a simple factory reset, you can easily save the original presets to your PC in order to restore them one by one if you wish (lists available online). Similarly you can create your own bespoke sounds and upload them for others to share.

The biggest selling point for me is exactly what some people are criticising: you can have 24 of your favourite sounds saved and ready to use at the turn of a dial and switch between them instantly with no more faffing.

bought this amp 3 years ago, absolutely brilliant. got great sound, 24 different sounds for guitar, and you can also use it as a speaker with absolutely, house shaking sound. would definitely buy again.

Decent sound given it's only an 8" speaker and 20 watts, and it's reasonably priced.
If you're into straight metal it's great, and the 4 Fender amp models are authentic, but most of the patches need tweaking to sound good.
I don't see it as good for beginners - it's too complicated, and the on-line editing software needs a certain amount of computer literacy, as well as a knowledge of guitar effects.
What I really don't like about it is the effects section on the amp - there's too much repetition of what is essentially the same effect, and no control over the degree - they're basically on or off and of course they're pretty over the top and so they tend to swamp the sound even when you want to be subtle.
I was particularly disappointed with the pitch shifting - I wanted 'octave up' but it's not selectable, and I don't like the two they've chosen to include.
It doesn't take pedals well, and I also think they should have included a drum machine, so it has it's uses and I'm keeping it for what it's good at, but it doesn't do everything so it's not the only practice amp I need.
