About the Author
Edwina Dunn (Author) Edwina Dunn has always been fascinated by people's stories and motivations. As the co-founder of worldwide loyalty programmes like Tesco's Clubcard, Edwina knows first-hand what it feels like to work in a male-dominated industry, and how women's lack of confidence so often holds them back. Edwina founded The Female Lead - a not-for-profit organisation - in 2012, which has showcased hundreds of women's stories of achievement and endeavour, globally, since then.

I appreciate that the purpose of the book is to inspire girls and women to leadership, however there is almost entirely no mention of motherhood - and so many of these featured women are mothers.
I'd like to know how these women have combined being a mother with their leadership role, and if being a mother has inspired their leadership.
The pieces are written in such a way as to suggest that being a mother has no impact on leadership and I'm pretty sure it does.
Not to say that the book is anti the mothering role, but I would suggest that inspiring girls and women to leadership should include some discussion of the impact of motherhood and the choices that need to be made.
