Creating the Ideal Office
Increasing flexibility around working needn't risk reducing your comfort, health and well-being. The location and environment of the modern workplace may be ever-changing but the individual is constant - and the perfect workstation, wherever it may be, should still be designed to fit around you.
A few easy adjustments to your workstation can make a huge difference to your daily routine. Fellowes understands the bad working habits that cause many of us physical health problems, fatigue and stress. We use this knowledge to create a comprehensive range of ergonomic solutions that help you to enjoy a more comfortable, organised and productive workspace.
Avoiding Wrist Pressure
If your keyboard or mouse is in the wrong position you could soon be suffering pain and discomfort. To ensure you are working well, your wrists should in the neutral position (as flat as possible). If they are at an angle you increase the risk of discomfort and potential long term injury. Ensure your wrists are in the ideal position for you and your workstation. Provide extra support wherever possible to relieve the pressure you put on them when typing and using a mouse.
4 Simple Steps to Working Well For Life
Zone 1 - Prevent Back Tension
Sitting in a chair without proper support can cause poor circulation, back discomfort, and overall fatigue.
Zone 2 - Avoid Wrist Pressure
Typing on a keyboard or laptop, for hours at a time, can cause pain and discomfort to your wrists.
Zone 3 - Relieve Neck Strain
Leaning forward and tilting your head up or down to see your computer screen can place strain on your neck and back.
Zone 4 - Reduce Inactivity
Alternate between sitting and standing to actively reduce the health risk of sedentary working such as heart disease, obesity, cancer and diabetes.

It’s a good product; it has a good texture, quite confortable to the wrist and definitely will help those who work for hours in front of a computer and are not looking forward to develop a tendinitis.
I was having a really bad pain in my wrist after an hour working, as I am a video editor, so since I am using this mouse pad; the pain has no longer bothered me. The pad also has a really good response to my optical mouse (Apple), far better than the one I was using before. It is worth to say that I can’t testify about the durability the of the product, as I have it for less than a month, and can notice that the black surface where the mouse works seems to be glued and I can see part of the edge starting to detach.
I hope this review helps.
This one is a bit different. The 'gel' is contained in a pocket, but that pocket is sealed in. The base is a semi rigid plastic which appears the be molded around the gel pocket and a plastic (?) mat is then stuck on top of this surface. So, no edge to come astray, no stitching to come undone. In fact, I can't see how this can leak short of punching a hole in it. It may be possible, that I have finally found a decent mouse mat which isn't going to leak within a few days.
The gel wrist pad has sufficient give in it without being too soft and supports the wrist well. On hot days it can be a little on the tacky side, that that will happen with most mats unfortunately.
As the base is of a silicon style material, the mat stays exactly where you put it. This is a bit of a double edged sword as it doesn't move during normal use, but if you need to move it a little for any reason, you actually have to peel it off the desk to be able to do so. To be fair, I don't have to do that very often, but it should be mentioned.
The mat itself is smooth. I would have preferred a fabric mat (as my previous one had) but this one works fine.
All in all, a good mouse mat and I'll definitely buy again.
Some reviews have stated that the mat peels in the top right hand side. This might be because (like me) they may be dragging their little finger across the mat. Time will tell if I have the same issue.
The bottom of the mouse mat sticks to the desk and does not move, you have to peel it off and place it back down, it is pure silicone (i think) and very high friction you CANNOT slid it around, not even on purpose.
The gel hand rest bit is also silicon, feels like jelly, very soft.
The top of the mat is a hard plastic material, the mouse runs smoothly on it, no issues with tracking. The area is a bit small for modern mice, i use a Razer Death Adder 2013 and wish there was more room but it is still very usable.
A bit of background to why i bought it:
I normally keep my palm pressed tightly against the edge of my desk whilst using my mouse causing a big red line across my palm and reducing blood flow and irritating the nerves in my hand thus causing carpel tunnel syndrome and RSI.
With this mouse mat i am forced to keep my hand on top of the desk instead of the edge, the big bubble bit physically stop my mouse from being taken to the edge of the desk and also provides a nice palm rest.
I have been using this for a month now, my past injuries have gone, the pains and aches and soreness all went away after a week or two of using the mouse mat and it will prevent them from coming back.
The mat is made from a strong rubber material that sits snugly on your desk and won't move about during use - in fact it's so snug you'll practically need to peel it off once you've got it in your desired position.
The wrist rest section is made from a good quality gel that's encased inside a large soft plastic shape.
The wrist rest is very comfortable to use - so much so that I can honestly say it's the best mat/rest I've ever used - and I'm a very fussy consumer!
It works perfectly with my Microsoft wireless optical mouse and there's plenty of space to manoeuvre the mouse fully.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this item as it's excellent quality and will hopefully provide many years of comfortable reliable use.
