This HDMI 2.0 splitter distributes an HDMI signal up to Ultra HD resolution (4K) to 2 HDMI end devices, e.g. TV, monitor, projector or AV receiver. The splitter is downward compatible with low resolutions at the input and output. With an integrated down-scaler, 4K content can be displayed on a full HD display. This enables mixed operation of 4K TV and full HD TV. If a 4K signal is present and both a 4K TV and a full HD display are connected, the splitter delivers a down-scaled image in 1080p on the full HD display. The frame rate is not changed, 4K @ 60Hz becomes 1080p @ 60Hz. When connecting a Full HD device, HDR output is not possible. It will not scale to or from a resolution of 1440p. In addition, the audio mode can be selected using a switch. This allows you to set that the HDMI source delivers the best possible sound format (maximum). Or a sound format that both connected HDMI end devices support (minimum). When connecting to an older AV receiver, please note that this may limit the video output. The splitter is ideal if you connect a main device with a high-quality sound system, for example a 4K television with soundbar, and a monitor or projector as a second device. If you want to use HDR or 3D video formats, both connected end devices must support this. Supports video formats up to 4096 x 2160 @ 60Hz YUV 4 4 4 incl. 3D, supported color format deep color 24/30/36 bit, HDR (High Dynamic Range) with HDR10, Dolby Vision, range with standard HDMI cable 24AWG at 1080p max. 10 m at the input + 10 m at the output, at 4K max. 5 m at the input + 5 m at the output. Supported audio formats DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby True-HD (incl. Atmos), Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital, LPCM 7.1, AC3, DTS, stereo. Supports HDMI-CEC. Power consumption <2W, dimensions 94 x 53 x 22 mm, scope of delivery HDMI splitter, power supply.
The following restrictions apply in principle
The same content is output or mirrored on all outputs. An extended desktop is not possible with a notebook or PC as the source, all displays show the same (you need a graphics card with 2 outputs for the desktop extension, a splitter is not enough)
HDMI-CEC is supported, but it must be activated be switched off when 2 TVs are connected. Then please switch off CEC, automatic update search, auto wakeup etc. on the displays > Note the maximum HDMI cable length of 5 m for 4K video content
HOR and Dolby Vision is only possible if both screens support it.
Downscaling only works from exactly 2160p to 1080p (full HD), intermediate resolutions such as 720p or 1440p are not scaled
The splitter cannot be operated in the opposite direction. The signal is only distributed from one source (e.g. PC, media player) to 2 displays.
The splitter cannot be operated directly on a Sanos or Bose sound system that only has a single HDMI connection.
If both If the splitter outputs are connected to the television (also indirectly), the HDMI source does not supply a signal.
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
