Feasts is inspired by the gatherings and parties Sabrina’s family threw when she was growing up, and she has fond childhood memories of watching the seemingly never-ending supply of platters filled with mouthwatering dishes being placed on the family table. ‘Feasting plays an important role not only in Persian culture but also in that of the entire Middle East,’ Sabrina says, who hopes that her latest offering will ‘make cooking less of a chore and more of a joy’.
so excited to try something different to olive oil and Maldon salt! Written in such a clean, clear and attractive way, (I've been put off too many new cookbooks obviously churned out that have a spelling mistake here and there) immaculately designed - if you want a beautiful cookbook that will inspire you, gives you full flavour recipes and gets you to rethink your cooking, get this now!
Feasts is a real treat, easy to follow recipes, beautiful pictures, dishes for every occasion and some great new ingredients I hadn't used before (e.g., Pul Biber, aka Aleppo pepper). Lots of classic middle eastern ingredients throughout the recipes: aubergine, pomegranate seeds/molasses, sumac etc plus some great adaptations of non-traditional ingredients such as pardon peppers.
Couldn't recommend this enough!
