Andrew Beasley's second Ben Kingdom novel is just as witty, exciting and enjoyable as the first, possibly more so.

The battle between good and evil continues as Ben tries to come to terms with his new powers.

Frenetic action and witty one-liners make this such an enjoyable read. Lovely underlying tone of love, compassion and forgiveness make this a thoroughly charming read.

Bravo, Andrew.

Steampunk is said to be nostalgia for what never was.
Andrew Beasley captures that feeling in this gripping sequel.
After reading the first book I expected more of the same (which would have been good) but this story added an even deeper sense of evil with the nightmare child invading both London and the heads of Londoners.
If you like Doctor Who you will love this. Great action, great scenery and great characters.
I’ll be starting book three as soon as I can risk it – because I know I won’t be able to put it down!

These books are really gripping and I found it hard to put down, very well written and would suit a large age range. I am in my thirties and found it as much fun as my 9 year old niece. Highly recommended.
