About the Author

M.N. Forgy was raised in Missouri where she still lives with her family. She's a soccer mom by day and a saucy writer by night. M.N. Forgy started writing at a young age but never took it seriously until years later, as a stay-at-home mom, she opened her laptop and started writing again. As a role model for her children, she felt she couldn't live with the "what if" anymore and finally took a chance on her character's story. So, with her glass of wine in hand and a stray Barbie sharing her seat, she continues to create and please her fans.

Bobby has an ongoing fling with the Doc, who is forever indebted by the Devil's Dust MC for saving her life 6 years ago. The Doc, known as Jessica, and her young daughter fled their home.in Navada from an abusive husband, after beating her senseless and turning his sadistic behaviour onto their daughter, Addie. After driving for hours, she ended up in Devil's Dust MC's doorstep seeking hell and refuge. 6 years later she still services the club and has an affair ongoing with Bobby. Frightened of love and heartbreak, she tends to keep her distance, though persistent Bobby doesn't relent, much to her dismay. After a catastrophic event, will she finally admit defeat to Bobby?

How I love love love this series! I was dubious to read Bobby and Jessica's story after being completely taken and engrossed by Shadow and Dani's story. But I freakin loved it. It flowed freely and the paces was steady, the characters, as always, we're flawless. I'm hoping for more for this series!

Aimed at audiences of 18+ with sexual content and graphic violence not suitable for younger readers.

I love this series and couldn't wait for bobbys book but I have to say I was a little disappointed. The story just didn't seem to be up to the same level as the others in this series. I still love Bobby though.

Loved Bobby and Jessica's story. Bobby's way of helping Jessica was great and showed Jessica how to trust and love again. Jessica couldn't help but fall for the loveable bad boy and so glad they got their happy ever after

Loving this series and this third book was even better. Really liked Bobby in the previous books and looked forward to hearing his story and this didn't disappoint. This book like the previous ones deals with some dark issues but does so in a sensitive way. Loved this and can't wait to see what happens next xx

So pleased bobby got his happy ever after. Jessica was a bit annoying at times but I'm pleased she came through. I thought their may have been more about what happened with Augustus but was still a great read.

I seem to have fallen into the habit of reading books out of reading order or coming to them midway through a series. Thankfully this didn't matter with The Fear That Divides Us because although it is the third book in The Devils Dust MC series, it works well as a standalone.

As a newbie to the series I was expecting to be confused but I found the story easy to follow and became quickly immersed in Jessica's 'Doc' and Bobby's complicated and dramatic world.

(No spoilers - this is in the blurb): Jessica has lived in fear for a long time and doesn't trust anybody. She ran to the Devils Dust MC with her daughter to escape from her abusive husband. Jessica is scarred from her horrible past and won't give any man the power to control her ever again. Having escaped from one cage she doesn't fancy being placed into another. She instead focuses on her career as a doctor and looking after her daughter. Dating a biker is pretty low on her list of priorities.

Bobby has been drawn to Jessica from the first time he met her, but doesn't understand why she constantly pushes him away when other women are desperate to trap him. I loved how he looks after Jessica and her daughter, albeit mainly from afar. He makes some big sacrifices to keep them safe.

I enjoyed their arguing and banter but I must admit I did get a little annoyed at Jessica for constantly hurting Bobby, however unintentional it may have been. What I particularly appreciated (apart from the sexy scenes) was the depth of their selflessness. Both Bobby and Jessica focus on assisting others rather than being motivated by self gain.

There were some interesting twists and a few shocks. The book covers some pretty troubling topics but it also focuses on some fun and happy aspects too. Bring on the next instalment...

I received a review copy.

The Fear That Defines Us is book #3 in the Devils Dust Series, I LOVE this series I was bouncing up and down like an idiot when I was offered an ARC to read for Gemma Reads Too Much.

Bobby, Bobby, Bobby, now obviously we all love Shadow and his brooding darkness but god love Bobby and his beautiful lightness.

It’s kind of ironic that Bobby is a biker because he just seems too good, I love that he doesn’t have that underlying sense of danger and threat. Instead Bobby is a born protector and I have to say that’s incredibly sexy.

When I think about Bobby’s character he just makes me smile, he’s like a naughty little kid always getting in trouble and then smirking as he gets told off lol!!

This book can be read as a standalone but honestly I feel like you would be missing out on Bobby and Jessica’s foreplay if you didn’t read the other books in the series first.

Jessica’s deal with the MC is mentioned in the previous books but I honestly had no idea how harrowing and disturbing her back story was. I liked Jessica before but now I found I really engaged with her character.

Don’t get me wrong I was still shouting at her to stop being an idiot and just jump into Bobby’s arms but I liked her even when she was being daft.

The moment Bobby and Jessica are together the chemistry is thick and the sexual energy is unreal!!! M.N. Forgy writes brilliant sex scenes, I mean they are HOT!!! Bobby is incredibly sexy and I love the idea that he’s shagging Jessica’s fears away lol.

There is a hint of danger and tension in this book, but honestly unlike with Dani and Shadows story I felt like Bobby and Jessica were more of a foregone conclusion.
