About the Author
Peter Rasmussen is a Danish comic artist living in the UK. He is the creator of the biographical webcomic Fatherhood Badly Doodled, which chronicles his son’s hilarious and curious outbursts as he discovers the world around him. Like a beautiful butterfly or a tasty slow cooked pot-roast, his comic has evolved over the years from doodles to comic style storytelling. When he’s not playing with his son and “researching” future comics by asking him for his thoughts on important issues, such as fashion, politics, or spaghetti Bolognese, Peter is drawing comics while watching anything sci-fi on the telly.

I'd come across Peter Rasmussen's work before and was interested in seeing a whole collection. These little vignettes of life with his son, arranged in chronological order, came out of a visual journal he started keeping early on in fatherhood. The result is a charming, funny and sometimes alarming insight into a five year old's mind, and the joy, worry and general bemusement experienced by his dad! I bet it would be comforting for every new father to get a copy of this, so it's the perfect present for any new parent - I just wish I knew more of them so I could get them this.
