Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

The story-telling is outstanding and the narrative is enlightening on many levels – a rich source for reflection and contemplation. 'Emotional rollercoaster' is a cliche, however, it's an accurate description for how the author lays bare his own emotions as he grapples with his life choices, frequently screwing up. Like all good stories, the closing chapters draw together the main threads and whilst there is sadness there is also joy and closure. Highly recommended.
Hendra's self absorption is draining, yes he is so very clever and his children are so beautiful and very wondrous, yawn....it was difficult to finish although not as galling as his own talking version which could clear a busy pub in minutes (and that's before any child protection issues surface).
He probably wasn't quite the comedy hero he and his publisher claim; he may have once written a few good one-liners, we'll have to take his oft repeated word for that. One-liners might be stretched to a paragraph, possibly to a page. They don't make a decent book, the evidence of which is that this narcissistic writer's soul may still be some way short of the salvation conceitedly claimed in its title. Doesn't he remind us (repeatedly) that Pride is the greatest sin? This book is that reminder and here it may be said to serve some narrow purpose - it is otherwise irredeemable.
What a sorry waste of £0.01p. Putting the iPod through a low temperature wash cycle might seem like an overkill, but it worked in a way that might even restore faith in a God of small things. Now cleansed of Hendra's ramblings, the iPod can now be put to more worthwhile uses.
