One of the best anime series ever made. The animation is gorgeous to watch, backed up with a stonking soundtrack, plot twists and character development. Not watched it in English dub though so can't comment on the choice of voice actors.

Fate Zero. It's the best series out of them all. The animation is fluid and the battle scenes look epic, it's how I like it. It's a shame that the god of kings "Gilgamesh" hardly done anything intense as he did in Fate Stay Night, which seems next on the list.

The second half of this series is truly brilliant. The conclusion to the first halves cliffhanger is satisfying and wonderful. The animation is even stepped up a notch. The characters continue to develop and have very interesting interactions and backgrounds. Kiritsugu gets 2 episodes completely dedicated to his back story and they may be my 2 favourite episodes in the series! The conclusion may leave some a little underwhelmed/confused, but hopefully it will come to them eventually. I really liked it personally. Can't wait for the re-work of Fate/Stay Night to start, as it's done by the same studio as this series and has been altered to make it better, hopefully on the same level as Fate/Zero. There are very little, if any, flaws with this series. It is a bit pricey but worth it for anyone willing to splash the cash. Astounding animation, amazing story, brilliant characters and a very mature series in general. It can be very dark, very gruesome and not an ounce of annoying fan service to ruin the atmosphere that it so wonderfully creates.

Has to be one of the best anime ever made. Fate Zero puts the original fate stay night anime to shame and creates a very endearing cast of characters that have brilliant action scenes, depth, development and discussion. We see a war for a holy grail that is very focused and smartly done as it is set between masters and servants so cuts out the large scale (and often cheesy) over the top 10,000 man wars that leads you to watch a lot of people you never cared about die and instead focus on making you care about each character.

I won't say too much but if you like the idea of heroes of old having an anime flair and being brought back to fight by the magi chosen by the holy grail to have a chance to get there wish come true then this could be for you. Featuring some great production values, epic fights, great characters and nice progression it really does set itself apart from a lot of other series.

This second set of the 'Fate/Zero' anime includes the final twelve episodes of this brilliant series. The episodes in this set cover all the action from the mass battle against Caster and his giant monster to the final confrontation for the Holy Grail and its aftermath. The plot centuries to be very intriguing and addictive to watch and there are some quite sad moments here and there along with the action. There are also a couple of episodes in this volume that reveal Kiritsugu Emiya's tragic background and his motivations. The series manages to The episodes here finally reveal the true identity of Berserker and the final episode of the series also sees a cameo by Shiro Emiya.

The animation of the series remains brilliant (although there were some issues with Kariya Matou's animation in a couple of places) with Saber's first use of Excalibur's full power being particularly beautifully done. The fights in the series continue to be simply spectacular and if anything the ones in this half of the series are even better than those in the first. Of particular note are the aerial battle between Gilgamesh and Berserker, Rider and Saber's race along a deserted road and the final confrontation between Kiritsugu and Kirei Kotomine, all of which have a place in my list of all-time favourite anime fights.

The development of the characters and their relationships also continues to be very well done throughout this final half of the series with Rider and Waver's relationship still being one of the best parts of the show in this respect. Kirei's continuing development as a character also continues to be done nicely as we see him develop into the character from the original series.

Excellent picture and sound quality, and the series is one of the best anime series out there. Be warned though, Fate/Zero gets very dark at times and the rating is there for a reason. If you're looking for an excellent fantasy series with mature themes, morally grey characters and a compelling story, this one is for you.

Great animation, great story, music and voice acting (both the Japanese and the English dub). Very impressive product. Wish I could turn on subtitles while still watching the english, version, though.
