5/5 Thrilling Stars! Laura is a reporter working on her first big story, which is a string of murders that are based on a video game. Mike is the creator of the game and the two have an undeniable chemistry. What will happen between the two and who is the murder? The story kept me on the edge of my seat with all the twists and turns, I therefore could not put it down. The story is told from both points of view and I loved the characters. This book is the second book of the Rockford Security Series but can be read as a stand-alone novel. I will be looking for more books by Lee Anne Jones! Highly recommend!!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. This book was read and reviewed by Annamaria for Alpha Book Club.

What happens when the overachieving journalist and the genius computer game creator come together in this mystery romance novel? A book you won't want to put down!!

Fatal Games, the second book in the Rockford Security series, is a mystery and romance book wonderfully melded together into a book you won't want to put down. Find out what happens when two alpha characters come together and attraction that is off the charts.

Laura Rockford, a Las Vegas journalist is very tired of her "fluff" stories she keeps getting and wants a story that will get her more serious stories. When she stumbles upon a murder, she instantly knows she needs the scoop. Her brother, who works for the security company is her first stop as he was a cop. She learns the murder are close to a popular internet game called Vegas Nior. All signs lead to the games creator Mike McQuaid and that's exactly where Laura goes. Mike McQuaid, genius and homebody knows he isn't guilty of the crimes that resemble his popular game. Cops are sniffing around making him nervous as he does have some skeletons in his closet. When Mike and Laura get together, sparks fly, attitudes spark, and sexual tension is high. Laura learns, Mike is not your typical computer geek. When the attraction becomes too much, Laura fears Mike just might be the killer. When tragedy is about to strike, can Mike save Laura? When the twists strike, be prepared to be shocked.

This intriguing book, written by three authors, is so well written and blended together. I enjoyed the amazing sex scenes, the twist and turns, and the dual narration that helps get into both minds of Laura and Mike. This was my first Lee Anne Jones book but I will add this will not be my last. The mystery, left me constantly wondering who the killer was till the very end of the book. You will question every character which makes this book even more readable. Is Mike the killer? Who is making the city of Las Vegas unsafe? What secrets will come out? Will Laura and Mike get their happy ending? Click, read, and find out.

By Jennifer Pierson: The Power of Three Readers - Published on Amazon.com

I thought I had broken the bad habit of biting my nails, but this author has a gift with intense suspense, so I fell off the wagon while reading Fatal Games. Laura Rockford is a journalist struggling to move up from writing fluff to serious articles, when she accidentally comes across a murder scene. Added to that, when she talks to her brother the next day, he slips a lead that the police don't have, possibly implicating Mike McQuaid, a video game programming genius. Rather than waste time with the detectives, she goes straight to the source and confronts a possible murderer. Laura gets a shock when she feels an instant connection to a man much too hot to be such a geeky recluse. With the bodies on the rise, and big secrets still hidden, will Laura crack the case before the danger comes after her?

HOLY SUSPENSE BATMAN! I LOVED Fatal Games, and nothing could have made me put it down once I started reading. The character development is great, with mysterious layers surrounding everyone, that slowly unravels bit by bit. A fast paced, suspenseful, and very well written storyline flows effortlessly. Lee Anne Jones' talented writing style sucked me up from the get go, while holding me hostage cover to cover until I finished the last page. I became so deeply emersed in this story, that I found myself screaming at Mike and Laura the clues they were missing, like I was there. While the killer draws closer, simmering chemistry finally EXPLODES into FIERY FLAMES of sexy scene goodness. I said it before, and I'll say it again, I CANNOT WAIT to read more by this author, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This story is actually written by three different authors, but they did so seamlessly you wouldn’t know it. I also loved that there were dual POV’s! Laura Rockford is a journalist seeking to get her career off the ground and comes across a murder that mimics a role playing game or RPG. Mike McQuaid is the creator of that game so Laura wants to interview who she believes will be a reclusive geeky brainiac. She discovers that Mike McQuaid is anything but geeky! Try drop dead gorgeous and their sexual chemistry ignites immediately but they tell each other it is only a one time deal. Mike doesn’t do relationships and Laura wants to concentrate on her career. The mystery continues with more murders mimicking different levels of the game and the reader is taken on a rollercoaster ride filled with potential suspects. Everything comes to an abrupt halt between them when Mike refuses to reveal what happened in his past. Laura is then kidnapped by the murderer and Mike fights with everything he has to save her. Does Laura become the latest RPG victim? Does Mike get to her in time? Do they get their HEA? 1-click this baby to find out!

HASH(0x90b1ea8c) out of 5 stars I enjoyed the twists and mystery of the whole book 1 Mar. 2016

Fatal Games is a romantic mystery full of surprises. It follows Laura, a reporter, who is just trying to get her first big story which just happens to be a string of murders that are based off of a video game. Enter Mike, the creator of said video game. He is a recluse and just wants to be left alone. One thing leads to another and we get some steamy bedroom scenes and a bunch of twists that had me guessing up to the end.

This is my first Lee Anne Jones read, and even though Fatal Games is second in the series it can be read as a stand alone. As stated before it had me guessing and trying go figure out who the killer was and who could be trusted. I enjoyed the twists and mystery of the whole book. I also love me some hot broody males so Mike is perfect. Laura is an alpha female, she can take care of herself and throws herself right in the middle of things. I enjoyed the characters and the story. The writing flowed nicely between the duel POVs and helped with the overall telling of the story. I look forward to reading more of Lee Anne's books.
