Product description

Review

Overweight TV producer Stella hates the gardening programme she works - on after all, it involves a timid vicar, his sex mad wife and an obese gardener. Stressed and fed up as her life collapses around her, she focuses on her passion for baking and wonders whether she can turn it into a career. However, what follows is a series of comical disasters. You want to devour this smart and fabulously funny read in one go! --Closer

The right work-life balance is something TV producer Stella Weston has worked hard to perfect. But with a boss bent on sabotaging her career and her loving family feeling increasingly neglected, she turns to the one thing she knows she can get right: baking cakes. Don't read this on an empty stomach! --Now magazine

Naughty but nice: A sparky, funny debut novel that combines a cute chick-lit tale with cake recipes. What's not to like about that? Can TV producer Stella find salvation in the bottom of a baking tin and be happy once more? --Bella

A funny, well-written look at whether you can turn a passion into a profession, with lots of hilarious dates, mishaps and angst woven in...I really enjoyed it. --The Daily Mail

About the Author

Sue Watson was born in Manchester long ago and after attending Manchester Polytechnic and hanging around the Hacienda for far too long, moved to London to seek fame and fortune. She found neither, but had a wonderful time working as a journalist on tabloid newspapers and womens magazines. Moving into Television, Sue became a Producer with the BBC and worked on garden makeovers, kitchen takeovers and daytime sofas all the time making copious notes so that one day she might escape to the country and turn it all into a book. Sue still has the notes and now writes novels in Worcestershire, where she lives with husband Nick, daughter Eve, two cats and a rather glamorous goldfish.
