Product description

About the Author

Usain Bolt is a Jamaican sprinter widely regarded as the fastest person ever. He is the first man to hold both the 100 metres and 200 metres world records since 1977. Along with his team-mates, he also set the world record in the 4×100 metres relay. He is the reigning Olympic champion in these three events, the first man to win 9 Olympic gold medals in sprinting, and a eleven-time World champion. He was the first to achieve a ‘triple-triple’ by winning 100m, 200m and 4x100m relays titles at 3 consecutive Olympics (2008, 2012 and 2016).
His 2009 record breaking margin for 100 m, from 9.69 (his own previous world record) to 9.58, is the highest since records began.

I enjoyed reading this autobiography by Jamaican athlete and Olympic champion Usain Bolt.
His success has been achieved through good coaching and his own hard efforts. He talks
about his injuries and underlying medical condition Scoliosis which has plagued him over
the years, but which has never held him back from being the fastest man in the world.
A good read and a very interesting man.
The book includes an appendix on his personal bests and world records.

I thought this book would be the typical narrative filled with facade and self elevation. However, it was quite the contrast... I could not put this book down. I thought that Usain was quite real in his accounts and shared aspects of his career that most people were curious about: his false start, London 2012 eating and sporting habits etc. There are a few 'take aways' as well- his determination and drive to succeed, manners and respect taught by his parents...this book is great read.

I didn't like the beginning but the book is really good and shows Usain's attitude as a champion ! I didn't think he is such a smart and down to earth type of guy. He is very mature and his success is not just luck or talent, but A LOT of hard work !
