Well, they say the course of true love never does run smooth, and that is certainly the case for the two protagonists in this novel. The book tracks the rocky road they travel as their romance develops, and the numerous emotional barriers and unexpected events that they struggle to overcome. Just when things seem to be going in their favour, something else pops up to stop them, and the reader is with them all the way. Pam Howes writes in such a way as to draw the reader in completely, and at one point I certainly found myself having to dry my eyes!

If realistic romance is your thing, without sugary sentimentality, that you will love this! Highly recommended.

Another brilliant read from Pam Howes, telling the story of 2 couples who knew each other from being young through to adulthood and the lovely story of how Rod always loved Mandy but married Jennie. I read this book in 2 sittings, just could not put it down. Brilliant Pam, wish I could give more than 5 stars.

A story that keeps us turning the pages, Pam Howes storytelling keeps us entertained throughout.
This is a story between two close friends whose friendship turns into love.
Already married and with grown up children, these lovers face difficulties when their love affair is discovered.
We feel the emotions as they tackle obstacle after obstacle and we wonder will they truly be together finally?

Pam Howes's writing is flawless and clean. I enjoyed this experience.

Fast Movin' Train a very enjoyable read.

An unusual story, it tells of two married couples, Mandy and Mike and Jenny and Rod, who have been friends for a very long time, even longer than they have been married. Then, out of the blue and after twenty-five years of marriage to their respective partners, Rod declares his love for Mandy and she finds she returns his feelings - the dilemma - what to do about Jenny and Mike and how to conduct an affair without them finding out??? And, what about the kids, all of whom have grown up in this tight friends/family unit? Oh and don't forget the dogs!! So much pain to inflict, so many lives to hurt.

The twist is: the reader is empathising with the wrong-doers and not the victims and this is the clever part, the author manages this very well and has you wanting the baddies to win! As I read I did have moments of thinking, hey, you shouldn't be doing this to your spouses, kids and friends! But then as another disaster fell that threatened to part Mandy from Rod, I changed my mind and wanted a resolution so they could be together...

I won't tell you if they succeed or not as that would spoil it, but along the journey there are a lot of hairy moments and the tension builds in you as you feel the fear of them being caught or stopped in some way. These are two lovable baddies - very sexy and meant for one another.

A novel to snuggle up with. My rating, 5 star for a story that held my attention, gave me engaging characters, was full of tension, entertained me and was extremely well written.

I gave this book a 5 Star rating, because 5 star's was all you could give, but would have given more if I could have.
This book was exceptional brilliance. I loved the story how it unfolded and the problems that stopped a couple being together after having marital affairs. Their marriages were already over and they were just going through the motions. What a story I could not put it down and when I had too I could not wait to see what obstacle would come next, but they stuck to their guns and love conquered in the end. The road or the train rather was a very very hard one. It just blew me away. This book would suit anyone who likes romance, or someone who was going through an affair and wanted things to work out permanently. BUY THIS BOOK PLEASE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED AND A BONUS IT WAS FREE.
