I dont usually read novellas unless they are spin off's from novels I have read previously.

But i have to be honest and say this is the first time I have read anything by this author and wow this author can pack a lot into a novella. Now I have read book one I cant wait to read book 2.

We meet newly single Lexi who has just gotten out of a abusive relationship with her ex boyfriend Patrick and is looking forward to some Lexi solo time.

The way she is described she is one hot looking lady. She is doing her shift in the restaurant where she works and its just a normal day till a hot, tattooed 6ft plus drag racing driver walks into the restaurant.

Step forward drag racer Coen who is the ultimate party boy, has women throwing themselves at him and of course he gives them what they want but as soon as the deed is done he casts them aside and moves onto the next one. When Lexi comes over to his order Coen cant take his eyes off her and is looking for his next notch on the bed post but gets the shock of his life when he feels a electricity generate between them both.

Fate decides to play a helping hand for them after a series of 3 accidental run ins Coen decides that fate must be bringing this girl into his life for a reason. The only thing Coen knows is that he hasn't felt this way for a girl for a long long time and its scaring the crap out of him. But rather than away Coen knows even he tried he would not be able to stay away from Lexi

A debut book from Lizzie which I enjoyed immensely.
Lexi is in a relationship and is about to break it off, she isn't looking to be with another man for a while and want's some space.
Coen, a typical bad boy racer guy, who loves the ladies, but only for the one night then he blows them off.
They both happen to bump into each other in a coffee shop and the attraction is instant and sparks fly !!
They both have their issue's to deal with, so will they both let their guards down, and will Lexi resist the charms of this big, tattooed, gorgeous man?
This book is a novella, but it didn't spoil my enjoyment one bit. A small point to make. It ends on a cliff hanger which to be honest I didn't see coming and I was like oh noooooooooo I really want the next book !!!

Lexi has broken up with her boyfriend and isn't planning on finding another, any time soon...

Coen is the ultimate playboy/ boy racer. He doesn't do relationships and doesn't want a women for more than a night...

When these two characters meet it's explosive....
Who will give in first?
Can Coen give up his playboy ways?
Does Lexi want another man in her life?

Fantastic debut novella Lizzie Hart Stevens. With fast cars, hot tattooed men, sassy ladies, smoking hot sex, this book has it all. I can't wait to find out what happens next

Reviewed by an Angel as part of the Audrey Carlan street team book club.

A little on the short side but highly enjoyable.
I found the characters likeable and easy to settle in with.
Lexi is a smart and feisty girl who has just left a bad relationship with Patrick when she bumps into (multiple times the same day) the sexy and tattooed Coen, but is it too soon?
Coen doesn't do relationships yet he is somehow drawn to Lexi, can it work?

I loved reading this book, it had a little bit of everything including a cliff hanger ending!

Im not great at writing reviews but this lovely lady deserves all the love she is bound to get from writing her first book, i loved this story so much i cant put into words right now. Coen is amazing what a great alpha male, caring, tough, bad mouth but with such a gentle way about him that i'm sure has something to do with he's past relationship. I thought their connection leaped off the page with such passion it knocked me over....WOW what a debut by Lizzie cannot wait for the next instalment.

Warning it ends on a big cliffhanger So HURRY UP AND WRITE THE NEXT!! LOL

Well this book I felt took a while for me to get into, it didn’t feel like it was going anywhere to begin with. You saw that the female lead Lexi was involved in some kind of abusive relationship that she wanted (or rather needed) to get out of and then you had some random characters getting introduced that didn’t really make sense until later in the book. I mean you had the neighbour come over randomly asking if she had any cat litter (no mention that she has a cat though!) he could borrow to help with an oil spill. Then later on you find out that he is a friend of this person Coen that she keeps bumping into the next day.

So Lexi decides to break things off with her abusive boyfriend and the next day while out getting breakfast with her friend she spots an Adonis of man who she can’t seem to stop staring at. After swearing off men just minutes before she seems to be backtracking for the first hot face (body, voice, tattooed god, everything really as he is the whole package) that she lays eyes on – meet one. Then she bumps into him again at the tattoo parlour while getting a new tattoo – meet two. Final meet is when Coen goes over to his friends house to get his car checked out before going to a drag race where he looks over the street to see the women who he can’t seem to get out of his mind – meet three. They both see this as some kind of sign so decide to make a date and see where it leads. You can tell with how fast things are playing out that they are going to fall for each other and fall hard but something is keeping them back. The secrets they keep have affected past relationships but nothing really gets spoken about them, for a moment you think you have missed something.
