Well. These thermoplastic (PVC) hot water bottles don't look like much when you first come across them. In fact, you might even be fooled into thinking that they won't hold very much water? - and maybe that they look a little cheap, a bit plasticky? - but I think that you will be in for a very pleasant surprise?! They are made from a fantastic material that is incredibly durable and ideal for the purpose - modern, more stylish, a successful evolution of the old-fashioned traditional rubber ones. Made in Germany - they are also recyclable, completely seamless with integral moulding(!), have a wide opening, a jointless neck which will prevent any leakages and they seal securely and easily too.....hmmm? - I betcha really starting to get excited now, aren't you?!! ;o>
As they aren't made of rubber, they don't have that awful smell to them - just a slight 'new plastic' aroma that vanishes on first use. The colours are fade-proof and they don't split, harden, crack or perish like the rubber ones either, so they will last for many years. My old Fashy thermoplastic is now over 8 years old, has been used every single day/night and still looks like brand new. I only bought this because I wanted a spare one to set aside in case I ever have the misfortune to lose it. I am quite badly disabled with OsteoArthritis and so my faithful old friend always goes absolutely everywhere with me.
As well as being generally more hyper-allergenic, they are particularly safe to use if your skin tends to react badly to certain things like surgical gloves or elastoplast bandages - as they are Rubber, Latex and Phthalate free.Read more ›
I occasionally suffer with a bad back, and there's nothing like a hot water bottle to ease the pain. In fact they are brilliant for using as heat therapy.
I purchased two of these, they are of good quality and are very reasonably priced. A recommended buy.
Perfect for snuggling down with on a cold winters night.
