HASH(0x96e63588) out of 5 stars Great pictures, fun lyrics. 12 April 2001

The pictures are very nicely done, all in a wood-cut flavor like the cover. The animals are mostly realistic and hearty rather than anthropomorphic or fake-looking. The pictures are well done and interesting, compensating for the repetitive lyrics (which children love anyway of course).
I expected the song to be "Old MacDonald", but it is actually the one that goes something like "I bought a cat and the cat pleased me, I fed my cat by yonder tree, the cat goes fiddle-i-fee..." and so on, adding sounds for each new animal.
My only problem was there isn't a sheet music page, so you're on your own with the music part.
