I have used this product a few times now and unfortunately each time I have needed to take a strong knife to lever/prise apart the top piece from its base to get to the lolly. The grip pieces on the lid I found very thin and therefore difficult to grip with so wouldn't withstand any force if you needed to pull away with some force. I have used natural yogurt and strawberries chopped up, and also have used diluted squash on its own. Both times I have struggled to undo to get to the lolly. I also ran the product under warm water each time and I still needed to use a knife to prise open, and gave up in the end. I have since thrown it out. It is perhaps possible that I received a faulty version but due to its reasonably cheap price I didn't feel the need to take this any further but instead just chose to dispose of it.
On a hot summer day, these are really good to have in the freezer - although you need to make a bit of freezer space as the set of 8 moulds has to stand upright all in one place.
I made ice lollies with the kids and when they had frozen, I wasn't able to take them out of the mould, the sticks came out on their own!
