"When Edwards takes time to pause for breath he is good, his description of the aftermath of a UEFA Cup penalty shootout at Hibernian being particularly blood-curdling. Such experiences will strike a chord with fans from lots of clubs but this is really a book for Leeds United supporters and will doubtless rekindle a lot of memories for them." --Racing Post
"In addition to detailing a vanished era of 'Football Special' trains, piping hot plastic cups of Oxo sipped on the terraces and an ornage ball being hoofed around a badly chewed up pitch, Edwards' book is filled with humour and tragedy… A timely reminder that players, managers and chairmen may come and go (particularly at Elland Road at the moment) but the one constant is the supporters and especially those like Gary Edwards." --When Saturday Comes
"Leeds United fan set to score yet another literary hit: Leeds United superfan Gary Edwards is top of the league for dedication to the Whites - and he's no slouch when it comes to writing about them either. Gary, who co-wrote Fanatical with fellow Leeds supporter Andy Starmore, told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "The reaction so far has been great so I'm not going to stop just yet!" --Yorkshire Evening Post
About the Author
Gary Edwards is the author of Paint It White; Leeds United, The Second Coat and No Glossing Over It - How Football Cheated Leeds United. Gary also runs a painting and decorating firm in (not surprisingly) Leeds. Fellow Whites nut Andy Starmore is the author of We Are Leeds, an experienced journalist and accomplished photographer.
