Famous (Famous #1) by Kahlen Aymes
4.5 stars!!

“If I needed any more proof that I was in love with him; this unspeakable sadness at losing him, was enough.”

If there is one thing that Kahlen Aymes writes extremely well it is romance and this book has it in spades. Your heart will not be the same after reading this one, it will have that warm and fuzzy feeling, you will have swooned till you could swoon no more but most of all you will be left feeling extremely happy and have a grin from ear to ear. They say that romance is dead but this book brings it all back to life, makes you a believer if you were waning, to say I loved it was an understatement.

What I also loved about this book were the references to Ryan and Julia, I think it was a master stroke following the lives of the two leading actors/actresses that were entrusted to bring The Remembrance Trilogy to life on the big screen. I thought that Ryan Matthews was the most swoon worthy male to have ever graced a Kahlen Aymes book but Cade Carlisle, OMG Cade Carlisle, OMG Cade Carlisle, OMG Cade Carlisle…sorry I was remembering…Cade Carlisle is something else!!

Brook Holloway is an up and coming actress, she has starred in some indie films but for Brooke the fame and stardom is not important, she likes films that have a message, for her it is all about the art. She has her head firmly planted on her shoulders, she is not fame and money hungry and is a really strong and endearing character. The Remembrance films though may catapult her into the spot light, especially as Cade Carlisle has been cast as the leading man.

Well, that was one intense love story.

At first once I realised it was about a couple of actors, working on a Movie all about Ryan and Julia I was thinking NO this is not going to work. I stand corrected.

It did take me a while to get into it, in so far as its all about Brook & Cade. I loved their friendship, they became best friends, but it didn't start that way.

We see Brook & Cade working on the moving together, both feeling things, either of them were expecting.

I really enjoyed the concept of 'Life imitating Art' you did a fab job. I loved the other cast members, how friendly they all came across, still having doubts about Wendy. She is going to bet trouble a thorn in their sides.

Even though they had only know each other for a few months, we as readers, could feel the chemistry between them both.

People on the periphery are always going to get hurt so it was unavoidable that David got hurt, although I only got the impression he only wanted Brook because Wendy had told hi abut how Brook & Cade were, whilst working together.

The scenes where they both doubted their feelings for each other, were good, but LOVE always wins out.

It sucks that their contracts forbid them to be open about their relationship, although they are beginning to work the Media Circus, they are both going to be facing. I do believe they ar strong enough to work through these testing times ahead.

Oh boy, once they both gave in to the love they have for each other, the intensity of their love was palpable had my heart beating hard in my chest.

I liked how their managers Jeanne and Diana cam round, when they accepted their feelings were very real.

If, like me, you've missed the mad, mad love between Ryan & Julia in Kahlen Aymes' The Remembrance Trilogy then you really MUST read Famous!

Famous tells the story of Caden Carlisle and Brooklyn Holloway, two actors cast in the main roles of a movie based on The Remembrance Trilogy books.

Caden is a very successful actor, British and HOT. Wherever he goes the paparazzi follows, including his screaming fans.

Brooklyn is a young up and coming actress who is more interested in small movies that mean something to her than the big movie deals, the fame and all it entails.

Caden and Brooklyn are thrown together as they star opposite each other as the main characters, Julia & Ryan, in The Remembrance Trilogy. There is an attraction from the start, at Brooklyn's audition, but the couple try to ignore it, especially as Brook is already involved with someone. As time goes on and Cade and Brook begin to spend more time with each each other on set and off, learning their lines and rehearsing, their feelings for each other develope and become much deeper. They try to deny it to themselves, each other and their fellow cast members but they aren't fooling anyone really.

By the time filming ends they both admit they love each other and decide to try and make a go of it, to see if what they are feeling is real and not just because they've spent the last year wrapped up in a tense and emotional script. But it's still at the back of Brook's mind that they have become Julia and Ryan, and once Cade has time to think, he'll realise that fact and leave. And so the story begins...
