Even though it states that it is a stand alone book I am almost breaking my fingers, I have them crossed so tightly, that the story continues in the second book.
I laughed out loud in parts, It tugged on my heart strings & then there's the hotness factor of the sex between Lucy & Jesse, it's scorching!!!
The story zipped along at a good steady pace that kept me totally enraptured by the whole cast of characters, their interactions & lives.
I 100% recommend this book. The style is right up my alley, similar in humour & hotness to 'Gage' & 'Zeke'
by Harper Bentley but with a bigger cast.
I've downloaded Book 2 'Blush' already & I intend to start reading immediately :)

This was my first read from Anne Mercier and I have to say it was a decent enough romp.
Jesse was a great character, he had alpha(ish) tendencies that I thought he had room to grow and expand into but over and above that I thought he just seemed like a really good guy. He was as sexy as sin but he knew it and used it to his advantage but to be honest wouldn’t you if you had the chance?
But when he and Lucy got involved it set my head spinning because he didn’t hang back, he threw himself into a relationship with no room for manoeuvring, and this man was all in!
I have to say that the pull between the two of them was so full on that it was difficult not to get sucked in to it with them and Ms Mercier had that emotion bang to rights. I was sold.
Lucy had kept her mother especially on the right side of happy when she followed the expected path into film but she was living a life that I wasn’t really convinced that she was happy with.
She had held a crush for Jesse for years but other than a glancing blow of a meeting while passing through the airport – they had, had no interaction and even those few moments could hardly be described as deep and meaningful but was it enough – well for Jesse it was and when he gets his chance years later to get his hands on the one that got away he is so determined it is bleeding brilliant!!
The story was funny in places with some fantastic secondary characters who I am sure will have more to say and show us as the series continues because they were far from superficial.Read more ›
But! Let’s concentrate on the review…
Falling Down is telling us a story from POV of 2 main characters: Lucy and Jesse (yum!). The story begins innocently on an airport, where 2 have met for the first time. She was staring her career in acting and he was already famous lead singer of one of the most popular rock bands. From the beginning they felt the zing between them. The scene where Lucy saw Jesse is just amazing and their first conversation? Hilarious!
Few years later, where Lucy is famous as an actress and has one an award, they meet again. And again the whole scene is just hilarious and after that it’s just getting more and more sexy and smut. But thank God! Anne is not only concentrating on physical side of their relationship, but shows their feelings and thoughts. How scared they are, how overwhelming their feelings are and how deep they run.
I love this book. Partly because of the main characters, but the rest of the group is just AMAZING. And guys from Falling Down? So worth drooling over! You will fall in love with all of them, I guarantee!
The ending of the book is even more shocking than you would thought it to be!
