About the Author

Abbi Glines was born in Birmingham, Alabama. She grew up in the small town of Sumiton, Alabama where she left the summer she turned eighteen. She didn’t get far… she chased her high school sweetheart down to the coast and she’s been there every since. Abbi now lives in the quaint southern town of Fairhope, Alabama with her three children and husband Keith (the high school sweetheart she chased after). Her life is never dull and Keith always makes sure there is another “experience” for them to explore. Books published by Abbi include The Vincent Boys and the USA TODAY bestseller The Vincent Brothers, Breathe, Because of Low, the USA TODAY bestsellers While It Lasts and Just For Now, The Existence Trilogy that includes the USA Today Bestseller Ceaseless, andThe New York Times bestseller and Wall Street Journal bestseller Fallen Too Far. Currently she is working on Never Too Far, the sequel to Fallen too Far. When Abbi isn’t locked away in her office typing away she is hauling her kids to and from their many social activities. You could say her second job is the Glines Kids personal chauffeur. It’s a rather illustrious job.

A Mind-blowing book that will take you on a journey that you'll never come back from.

This book isn’t your typical Abbi book, infact In my honest opinion i think i might have to go as far as saying this might be her best one yet!!!

I know when you read a book you might find you can identify with some of the characters or the storylines, but for me reading West's story was like taking a whole scene from my life.
It was like reliving the whole situation all over again, the pain, the memories and i must admit i found myself breaking down through alot of the book, i used alot of tissues. (be sure have them handy)

I have to take my hat off to abbi she obviously put alot of work into this book, it really shows throughout the book. Its not your typical teen romance.
It's not just about those Friday night field parties, with underage drinking, or the bitchfest that comes with hot girls wanting to be the center of attention.

I love the way abbi brings West and Maggie together.
2 lost teens drowning in their own heads. Thinking if they keep it locked in they dont have to deal.

Maggie has her own inner demons to deal with, will helping West deal with his send her spiraling worse than her already fragile state?

Until now no one I repeat NO ONE. Has even come close to Rush ever #RushCrush he's always been my
No #1 but let me tell you, I absolutely, irrevocably love West Ashby and i think he may just have taken top spot. 💖

I honestly cannot wait to read more from this series.

I’ve always found that Abbi Glines books either hit that perfect little place inside me that makes me hurt, cry, scream and feel utterly wretched, but because of the angst and love that builds I enjoy it, or they fall so flat that I feel nothing but annoyance and boredom.

Until Friday Night thankfully hit that sweet spot and I was instantly drawn in to the story, addicted to the characters, and didn’t want to stop reading.

It’s masochistic but the more a book hurts, the more I seem to love it. Nothing gives me the feels better than bittersweet rage and Abbi Glines has that special ability to make me feel the rage.

Until Friday Night made me feel the rage but it was diluted with a hefty dose of sweet so it wasn’t as bad – or good – as it could’ve been.
The story is set in high school; it’s YA but I’d say mature YA. As per usual Abbi Glines you have the group of guy friends, the bitchy slutty women with zero worth in the eyes of the boys and the sweet pure perfect chick everyone is half in love with.
Tragic pasts and presents unite our 18yo manwhore lead and his pure princess, love heals and conquers all.

You may be reading this thinking I didn’t like the book despite previously stating that I did, but you see it’s complicated. The way women are represented in this book – actually in Abbi Glines books in general - epically pisses me off and I’m a bit tired of the manwhores… But I still read them. I still enjoy. I’m a hypocrite.

If you like Abbi Glines’ writing; read this book. If you have never read an Abbi Glines book but like angsty reads with the virgin and the manwhore then read this book. If you dislike any of the aforementioned, then probably pass.

Abbie fricking Glines. Another fantastic story based on American sweethearts. Gorgeous boy meets scared new girl. Absolutely loved it from start to finish. Maggie was always going to the strong silent girl waiting to break free with the added bonus of winning West. I cannot wait for the next instalment....maybe Guner will be next x I've got everything crossed x well done Abbie xxx

I absolutely loved this book. It was very different how Maggie and west got together and I think that's what makes it so memorable. He is living the dream but putting on a lack dealing with guilt and pain that mute Maggie can see into and understand. I thought it was strange that they should connect the way they did all the while harbouring more then friends vibes but they needed each other to pull each other out of the darkness and it's sweet how they come together and face the challenges.

Wow. Seriously wow.
Abbi Glines is one of my favourite authors so I had no doubt this would be amazing.
We have West, who's struggling with the weight of grief, yet projecting a facade that everything's OK.....
We have Maggie, who's experienced such a traumatic event that she's chosen to stop talking altogether to cope.
I don't want to give way to much of the story, because that is what the blurb is for, but I will say that you will be drawn info their lives, and feel every emotion that they feel, because that's what a talented author can do.
I was blubbing at one point, in awe of West in anther part, cheering for Maggie and swooning right along with her in other chapters.....

Lastly, if these teen sagas, full of angst and emotion are genres you love, this is right up your alley ☺
