I have refered to this book so many times. I have diganosed a host of problems and their corresponding 'tissue' or 'cell' salt to clear up health issues. There are 12 main salts in the body. This book will show you, by symptoms, which salt you are lacking in your body. Tissue or Cell salts are not medicines and do not contraindicate with any drugs you may already be already taking. There are several facial shots for each of the twelve salts to show you what you are looking for in your own face and others to diagnose the necessity of a particular salt. Tissue salts are cheap, too. Available online or at most big whole food stores. I've got a lot of homeopathic materia medica books and herbal books, all which I love and do refer to:-- but tissue or cell salts are basic and easy to understand and use and highly effective. I cannot recommend this book enough as tissue or cell salts affect the body at the fundimental physical level and you face really will show which salt you are needing in your system. And no they are not salty! They melt on your tongue and are on the sweet side. Kids don't mind taking them at all. Forget daily chewable vitamins, and get this book. I promise you if you are interested in holistic healing you will grow to depend on this book and reach for it often.

Often the perception of a book will depend at least in part on the expectations prior to reading it. In my final analysis I have tried to assess the content objectively but the fact remains the I expected a lot more from this book than it delivered. Although it is correctly referenced, the author admits that the main body of the text, the materia medica, is "Adapted from; The Biochemic System of Medicine, Materia Medica by George Carey", one of the earlier publications on the subject. This is fine until one realises that it has no relevance to the title of the book or purported emphasis of facial diagnosis, being in fact general and available from said George Carey or even the Boericke Dewey publication which is superior in every way. The actual facial diagnosis aspect of the book could be fitted in a pamphlet; it is inconclusive, for example some of the symptoms are difficult to ascertain for different skin tones; to take another example a picture of a purported 'symptom' of calc fluor deficiency refers to a picture purported to show "a typical raised wrinkle in the corner of the eye". Perhaps this is discernible to the experienced practitioner but I'm certain I could not discern from the picture what the author is actually referring to. I could go on with further comments but to summarise, the book is nicely laid out, presenting old information in interesting and easy to reference ways albeit somewhat attenuated, the photographs are fairly inconclusive, often repeating the same symptoms while sparse on others and the original content using facial diagnosis is sparse, often vague and inconclusive and unsubstantial. Although having said that, it is interesting but certainly insufficient to warrant the price or extent of the publication.

I really like this practical guide to facial analysis and tissue salts. Sometimes it can be hard to understand from a description what people mean. A picture shows you, so you don't need to imagine or guess.. The author has done the world a great service in taking the time to put together some photos to illustrate how different tissue salt deficiencies affect the look of the face and provide a great introduction to facial analysis. A valuable resource for anybody interested in tissue salts and facial analysis. I am not so sure about the relationships of tissue salts to star signs as this tends to get a airy fairy but overall this is a great book.

Well, what can I say in praise of this book, very informative with lots of additional material which is a real joy to explore.
An excellent description of the benefits of cell salts. I wish more people would use them, they are absolutely safe, and very,
very effective. This book gives an excellent write up on each cell salt.
