I downloaded this book just before Christmas, not because I wanted something to read but because it appeared to be written with a similar line to the book "Son of Man". The book tells you the 'history' of the Shroud of Turin between chapters of the present day story where a group of people are using a scientific study of the Shroud to take secret DNA samples from the Shroud to clone Jesus.

The scientist who is carrying out the tests doesn't know this is happening but his life is at rist from the people who are 'protecting' the Shroud and are against the church having it tested.

I enjoyed the storyline and the various plot twists but the ending was not what I expected and if another book is not brought out to make a series I will feel disapointed.

A weaker effort than "Son of Man" but ok for the price and would like to read more of the author's books in the future.

Yes, it is as gripping as Crichton and Brown combined...! Love the character Dolan. Although there are some typos and one big mistake of placing Parthenon instead of Pantheon in Rome. I think Parthenon should be the Greek one? Aside from that, this is a very good and enjoyable book. I read this on my holiday in Rome and Vatican...makes things seem more 'lively'. Can't wait for the next book...!

I found this book by accident on Kindle and downloaded it, all I can say is brilliant! The author does exactly what I want from a book..takes you out of yourself and gives a thrilling ride. Intriguing plot, God creates man, Man creates God, I for one can not wait for the next book to follow on!

Quite a good read. Exciting in places & quite thought provoking in others. Up to Dan brown? I'll leave that to the readers to decide! Personally not quite!
