Very in depth book on fabrics I bought it for a better understanding of different fabrics what there made of thickness weave that sort of thing but the book itself is very long winded I think it's more guided towards students learning fashion textiles than just a home sewers gave it 5 stars because it's a good book and I'll probably keep going back to it

Love this book. Very interesting read. As an amateur sewer, I was keen to learn more about fabrics. There is plenty of fascinating history and background information written in a very accessible way. It's going to be invaluable as a reference when I've finished reading it through

I wish I had had this book years ago. It has an enormous amount of information - everything you could need regarding fabrics. I recommend it to everyone studying fashion and anyone else to brush up your knowledge. There is more information in here than what I learnt at college. It is definitely a 'must have'.

Really good book - I primarily bought to see, whether I could use it as course literature for some introductory materials courses I'm teaching. It's just perfect.
