In my opinion this is the best case available for the Nexus 4. It offers really good protection and extra grip while still keeping a fairly slim profile. The bumper offers excellent protection for the sides of the phone and provides a small lip round the front to minimise damage to the screen. The clear plastic back offers great protection for the fragile glass on the back of the Nexus 4 and prevents scratches, while ensuring that it is not hidden from view.
The power and volume buttons are still easy to use with the case on and the headphone jack and micro USB port are still easily accessible.
Fortunately I only dropped my phone once while using this case - it fell onto the pavement as I took it out of my pocket. I feared the worst but when I picked it up there was no damage whatsoever, not even to the case itself.
The main downside to this case is that it gathers dust while the phone is in your pocket, and this is especially visible through the clear plastic back. Dust tends to gather round the micro USB port and around the camera lens on the back, but the case is easy to remove and to clean the dust away.
Overall, an essential purchase for a Nexus 4 owner who wants some extra protection for their phone!

I cracked the glass on the back on my Nexus 4, then looked for a hard case to protect it. This is the case I chose after looking at Youtube videos about various options. I'm really happy with this choice for a number of reasons:
Back protector: The clear plastic back is hard, so I'm very unlikely to accidentally crack the glass on the back of my Nexus 4 again. There are 2 gaps - one for the camera and flash, and the other for the speaker. Because the case has tiny nodules on its 4 back corners, you can actually hear the phone speaker really well.
Slippiness: It's not "grippy rubberized plastic" but it does grip fine - better than a naked Nexus 4 anyhow. The clear back plastic is less slippy than the glass on a Nexus 4, so generally you're way less likely to drop your Nexus 4 when it's in the case.
Buttons: One hassle with the Nexus 4 is that the buttons are sometimes hard to feel. This case makes it way easier to feel the buttons, and the button action is good and has a quality feel (both the volume rocker and the on-off switch).
Headphone jack: There's a nice gap around the headphone jack hole so you'll have no trouble plugging in your favourite headphones. I've tried with the Nexus 4 headphones and my favorite AKG phones too.
Front swipe action: The case does lip up very slightly around the edge of the phone face, but this doesn't prevent you from swiping left or right - e.g. to swipe the camera screen without unlocking.
Appearance: Finally, it looks really really good - you can still see the cool "iridescent" glass effect on the back of the Nexus 4, and the black sides of the case look like part of the phone.

I first bought a cheap rubberised case for my Nexus 4 (~£2 from ebay). Unsurprisingly for this price, it was terrible - a loose fit, but most annoying was the grip that the rubber had - I could barely get it out of my pocket it was so grippy!
When I saw this, with the plastic back, I hoped that it would be a little more 'slippy'...
The good:
- It's a very good fit. All cut-outs are accurate, and have a nice amount of space around (so, for example, you can use headphones with a 'wide' body on the plug without it fouling the case).
- It doesn't stick up far on the front, meaning the 'swipe from the side' actions are easy - my other case required me to slightly push out on the case in order to correctly swipe in from the edge of the screen
- The buttons are nicely weighted - there's a nice 'click' when you press them (not audible - just a very positive tactile response).
- The clear back really does show off the rear of the phone
- The black sides of the case are grippy without being sticky, and the Ringke Fusion logo is subtle but looks nice.
The bad:
- The clear back seems attracted to the rear of the phone, and the two surfaces 'stick' - this makes it look like there is water between the two surfaces, almost like a bubble. It's tiny (on mine at least), and moves around as you press the rear of the case. It's a very, very minor niggle, but for a case where one of the key features is the clear back, I was surprised at this.
- The join between the clear plastic rear and the black edges of the case is very slightly raised, and it actually leaves a slightly rough 'edge' that you can feel when you hold the phone - this is not a huge issue (it's certainly not going to cut you!) but it does make the phone *slightly* uncomfortable if your hand brushes over the edge. It may well wear off after a while in use... This is the only reason I dropped a star.
Overall, I'm very pleased with it.

Yes, it's a bit more than your local Saturday market stall but then again your phone costs a lot to get fixed too.
This fits beautifully, just remember to remove the protective, slightly milky protective plastic from both INSIDE and OUTSIDE the rear, crystal-clear, transparent back.
As mentioned in my related review, the use of this case allows the use of this charger: TheTechTree - USB Desktop Sync Cradle Dock Docking Station Charger For LG Nexus 4 E960, Optimus G Pro because there is nothing to stop the phone being inserted into the dock, it just sits on the base without trying to squeeze into a slot designed just for a naked phone.
In conclusion the case it very nicely made, protects the edges of the phone well, the phone's rear glass cover is protected by the transparent plastic and even the front is protected in some way by the edge bumpers raising the front off whatever you've placed it face down on (although I can only recommend a front protective screen cover too).
Using this cover still lets me slide the phone in and out of my trouser pocket and doesn't add too much to the bulk either; in fact, I'd go so far as to say I prefer the solid feel of this case with its non-slippery bumper rather than the super slidy Nexus 4 original! Yes, just me, I know.
A perfect option.
