This is the one to get if you don't want to spend a fortune - comfy, well made, and the rubber bits on the feet stay put. I have bought loads of these for my students over the years.

Purchased for a full size (Gliga gems 2) violin and case - the positive points were the price and the collapsible legs (as well as the positive reviews). This looks very similar to the Kun collapsible shoulder rests that are sold for £40. When collapsed it fit in well in the top compartment of my case, and the thick layer of foam (about 7mm thick) is comfortable. The shape, a gentle s -shape vertically, and a small lateral curve suited me very well. The rubber tubes on the legs feel very "grippy". There seem to be many companies sellling similar rests - even on Amazon if you have a search,

Unfortunately my experience wasn't quite as positive as other people's; my rest often slipped despite the rubber legs, and sometimes fell off completely. I ended up using the rest on it's tightest settings (there are three settings per leg, so nine possible selections) which I think affected the sound of my violin, and in the end one of the end members for the legs snapped backwards (see first picture) - unfortunately it looks like there aren't replacements for this part.

Not sure why this didn't suit me as it did others, but my experience has been mixed with this rest.

I have waited two years to do this review as to test out the durability of the product. I bought it in 2015 and it is now 2017. It is just as spongy and comfortable as when I bought it two years ago. Amazing durability. It is adjustable so can be tailored to a comfortable position for each user. Looking back, I don't know how I went without a shoulder rest, as the wood of the violin really digs into the shoulder without it. I would really recommend this great product. Makes playing a LOT easier. 👌🏻😊

I have a FOM violin shoulder rest for my older child's violin. This is bought for my younger child's violin. It's a lot worst than the one we originally have. The quality is very poor. The clips at both ends are not stable enough. The screws have fallen off a few times for no reason. Now I need to find another genuine FOM shoulder rest somewhere else.

Good value for money, the arms 'tilt' to make it more comfortable. It grips the violin really well, and hasn't ever fallen off. Fits a full-size violin okay, although it's probably a bit on the smaller side because it's 3/4 size too. This isn't an issue though.

Although it has extendable arms (you can wind them out) they're a little short for me - maybe avoid if you have a very long neck.

If you really tighten it and fiddle it CAN stay on the violin but it is most likey to just fall off IMO. I think it is ok overall, i have stopped using it in favour of attaching foam padding directly to violin (easy to do with a 'S' shaped STAGG EVN electricviolin though)
