This pair of FIND Jeans are made with 98% cotton and 2% elastane, providing a little stretch and give within the material making for a comfortable and long-lasting wear. The quality of make is very good and similar to what is produced by the best of high street alternatives for the same price point. The jeans have large, deep pockets on the front that can easily hold a large smartphone or a wallet. Zip fly included.
The jeans are said to have a ‘slim leg’ fit by FIND. However, I found that this pair of denim have a skinnier fit than the traditional slim fit offered by other jeans manufacturers such as Levi – matching more closely to a Levi 511 skinny fit than a Levi 510 standard slim fit. This results in the jeans having little excess material for a shape that is cut much closer to the body than might be expected with no tapering.
The quality material also gives the option for a well-held turn up/pin roll with colour being true to the photographs provided.
Overall, I am very impressed with this pair of jeans produced by FIND - that offer great value and are built to last. Although, it is worth considering that these jeans offer a skinnier fit than might be suggested by the ‘slim fit’ label.
I'm a size 10-12 woman with a 27-28" female waist, 37" hips and an inside leg of 34" but usually wear mens' jeans in order to get a slimmer fit than available on most womens' equivalents. It involves taking a chance on the sizing in both the waist and leg length but on this occasion the 30"-waist and 32"-leg were spot on for me.
The denim is a light-medium weight with a slight stretch and this stretch is essential due to the very narrow fit on the legs. Without it, even with my skinny legs, they could be quite uncomfortable to walk around or sit down in. However, after a few days wear and a test-wash, they soften and mould to give a more customised and comfortable fit.
Quality is good with neat stitching, no loose threads and a good finish. They maintained their sizing following a machine wash and wear but, as expected, lost some dye - so should be washed separately or with other dark colours for at least the first few washes.
Although described as 'slim', they are the narrowest 'slim' fit I've ever tried and I would class them as skinny. These would fit a slim woman size 10-12 or slim man/youth with slim slender legs up to 21" thigh, 14" knee and 13" ankle. Anyone with chunky or muscular thighs and/or calves is likely to find them too much of a squeeze. I'm guessing the larger sizes will have proportionally wider legs.
The fly is a combination of button and zip; the button didn't prove too troublesome to thread, and the zip has yet to stick in an emergency, so we'll call that a win.
The material is smooth, and tolerably thick; it's survived a couple of washes and day to day wear without significant impact. I'm not sure it would hold up as well hiking through the fells, but for standard urban living, it's fine. The addition ofa bit of elasticated 'give' at the wait is very mucha ppreciated, letting the jeans adjust as your weight goes up and down. Sizing was acurate to the inch, always a relief when getting clothes sight-unseen off the internet!
These definitely are a slim fit, hugging the legs, especially around the calves calves; it takes a little while to get used to this, but they do the job, so I can't complain. That said, if you're used to a boot cut or other more loose fit, then be aware these aren't messing about.
