This lightweight hooded parka has two big side pockets and elasticated cuffs to keep the cold / rain out. Wear it with straight-leg, turn-up jeans, classic lace-up boots and a crew-neck jumper to stay warm.

I've actually got stuck inside this coat. I could have removed the coat over my head like a jumper but I'd started to undo the zip and felt I needed to unzip it before removing.
Took me a good 20 minutes of fumbling and a lot of effort before I finally got the two zip bits to align and the coat undone.
I've never had a problem with zips before and I'd be surprised if I got stumped by one again.
Scared to wear this coat now in case I absentmindedly do it up.
The parka (which I remember from the 60's as being a garment worn by GI's, then Mods) is too dark for safety out on the roads so remember to wear white at night somewhere around you. Especially if worn on the way to school or college... (Granny talk)
Everything about this is well sewn, tidy, neat and robust. It will last, protect you from the wet. There is a KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE warning, Made in China, distributed through amazon, Luxembourg, wash with similar colours up to 30 degrees, do not dry clean, do not tumble dry, do not bleach, use a cool iron on the reverse. The drawstring on the hood is also black, all seams are sealed. Altogether great value, good quality..
The fabric feels quality and it's soft touch with at least a showerproof finish. The inside of the coat isn't lined but the seams are well finished and very tidy because all of them have been finished with binding, thereby showing no fabric raw edges hence no fraying.. There are two pockets, ample sizes for this type of coat and the flaps are reversed with press-studs, which keeps the rain out and your essentials dry.
The zip is a double action one which makes the coat useful when driving or in other situations where the bottom of the zip needs to be open.
It is a reasonable length too but that is partly because I am on the short side. It is lightweight and could easily be put in a back pack for instance so it is a useful garment.
