I would thoroughly recommend this to any electric or thin body acoustic player. (Note, it's not designed for acoustic guitars as the notch where the guitar suits is not wide enough - see photo.) I've been using a metal stand like this for years and needed a replacement. This stand is light, strong and folds flat so you can easily carry it in your gig-bag. It is such a simple and efficient piece of gear, it is a joy to use. On top of all that, it's so cheap!! If you have an electric guitar, buy one of these. You'll never regret it! AF

This is a good product and does what it says it does. My only minor minus point is that it is fine where no one will bang into it but in (say) a busy room the guitar could be easily knocked out.

HASH(0x8fb7087c) out of 5 stars Fender gig stand 7 Jan. 2012

This stand is compact, folds out easily, and is very stable for its size. However, it doesn't compensate for guitars or basses with tilted bottoms(like a jazz bass) like regular stands do. You can't put them on straight, or they will just fall off. You have to put them on at an angle making it look very awkward. With any other guitars, it works perfectly. Overall, it is a nice stand.

HASH(0x8fa12e40) out of 5 stars fender guitar stand that folds up 21 Jan. 2012

Everything I read about this stand was right. It's portable, light, fits in tight spots and when folded easily in a gig bag, and is well made. The design is innovative and for what it is, very accommodating overall for a strat or tele, and so I bought two of these stands and gave one as a Christmas gift to my brother.

Its really a great little stand. However, I have to take a second look at the placement of the body when I put my stratocaster on the stand. The cradles on the legs are grey notched molded rubber and the sweet spot is not easily seen. But once its in, they then become one until you pick your guitar up again. Fender has some cool products and this is one of them. I also like the clip on tuner they make.

HASH(0x8fcdb6f0) out of 5 stars Best guitar stand ever. 5 Mar. 2012

There is no better guitar stand for a strat style guitar. Conventional stands are relatively easy to knock over, and can sometimes damage the neck of your guitar if you are less than careful when setting your guitar down. These stands have none of those problems. They also fold neatly and can be carried inside a guitar case. The plastic is very high quality and the construction is very sturdy. There is no slop in the pivots or hinges whatsoever. I will be ordering more of these, and have no interest in any other stands out there.

HASH(0x8fbf7e4c) out of 5 stars Fender bought a good idea 26 Dec. 2011

These are very handy stands. I guess I have the original, made by RKS (I have a review under that brand, which may be out of business).
Very handy, don't take up lots of space, sturdy, doesn't get tangled in cords.
Highly prized, glad Fender picked up on it.
