When Eyepet, from Sony, first appeared back in 2010 we were instantly hooked. The on-screen little fur ball was great fun - being one of those games that you need a camera for. The game saw you interacting with your own eyepet and what was a fresh and compelling idea was only enhanced by making a Move version. We loved Eyepet, and spent, as a family, many a happy hour playing with our virtual pal, unlocking challenges and generally marvelling in the wonder of technology. When, at the end of last year Sony released a new title "Eyepet and Friends" we were first in the queue to pre-order online. The five year old was beside herself with excitement and told every Father Christmas within a five mile radius how another Eyepet was on her list. Having enjoyed the original the premise of playing with two on-screen pals at once could only add to the enjoyment, interest and fun, right? Wrong. This game is, quite simply one big disappointment from start to finish.

The original game saw you hatching and nurturing one pet. Here along the same lines, but with the addition of a rather too talkative narrator, you get two eggs. This is where the frustration starts, play together and inadvertently swap over controllers and nothing happens, the game from the off is slow to load and prone to falling over for no obvious reason and when you do play it's really not at all obvious what the actual purpose of the game is. Where, previously, there were day to day challenges to unlock and things to do, the new game sees you trying to find your way through a maze of menus working out what the point of the whole thing is.

Hi guys, i am a huge fan of the great EyePet 1 and i was so glad they were releasing a second one and i bought it with closed eyes day one.
I am extremely disappointed this game is unfinished sometimes the sound just stops working and things dont show up on screen. Let's not talk about those extremely long loading times with very poor animations during loading times.
Regarding the mini games and the challenges there are very few and they are almost unplayable and with zero fun, they are extremely boring and gameplay is broken it's so stiff and bad.

Go buy EyePet Move Edition which is much more fun and where you really need to take care of the pet. in the second one you dont need to feed him, wash him or dress him or send health reports if you dont want to.

I suggest this game only for one type of people: the trophy hunters. I got the platinum in like 3 hours. So dont spend a dime on this crap just go rent it for a few hours.

EyePet and Friends is garbage, please buy the first one instead.

Both myself and my daughter loved the 1st eyepet game(move edition)and was eagerly looking forward to this sequel, but what a disappointment! Lots of slowdown during 2 player games, long loading times between each chosen task and numerous crashes. Giant leap backwards for me, not nearly as much fun. My daughter summed up the gane by saying 'dad can we play with the old eyepet'. Buy the first game for a much better experience.

I wasn't really a fan of the first Eyepet but was this was cheap and 3D compatible I bought his one too... Sucker for punishment really.... Using the Move controller and playing in 3D it is visually very impressive and easy to play. It did take me FOREVER (obviously not literally) to get the game to find the floor...in the end my wife did it. If it can't find the floor you can't move on.... After I did get it started the mini games are fun but have limited appeal - I got bored quickly. It's one of those 'meh' titles for me - I might not play it ever again - then again I might play it in a few weeks and get hooked on a certain mini game - hard to say. If it cheap and you like these kind of games go for it - then you won't feel cheated when you get bored.

This seems to be a good game bought for my 4 year old, it kept her interested for quite a while! Not sure how much you can actually do but would only recommend for a young person.

I ordered this for my 5 year old daughter and she loves it. Earn tokens (which can be amassed quite quickly) to do more games or buy more stuff for your Eye Pet. 2 player mode let's you or another child play along.

I bought this for my daughter's birthday. She loved it! Hasn't stopped playing it. Well worth the money. She loves interacting with her pet, playing games and changing its fur colour.
