Dana Di Grazio is Hindley Gregor's best friend and we first met her in Skater Boy, book one of the X-Treme series. She is a fiery character, confident, independent and out going with the worst potty mouth I've seen for a while! This tough exterior hides a vulnerability, created from a difficult past, that endears Dana to the reader so her language is easily forgiven.
Peter Fontenot is hot with a capital H, he does stunts on a motorbike, how much more sexy can you get, a man in tight fitting leathers doing something daring and dangerous... I just love that.
An accident in his competition means Peter needs somewhere to stay while he recuperates and Dana's apartment is the perfect place. The pair don't instantly hit it off, he was brought up quite straight laced and women did not act like Dana. He was a little scared of her out spoken nature and thought she was a loose woman, not someone he could respect. The more time they spend together the more he warms to her and realises that first impressions aren't always right and she is in fact more than the brash female she comes across as.
I do love the X-Treme series. I enjoy the way Kay puts words together to create three-dimensional characters that I can relate to. They have so much depth and so many layers that they feel real. The drama's, the laughs, the fun times, and the love, all meld together in perfect proportions to make a five star read, ......... so why only 4.75 stars??
Well I love Rory and Hindley's story (books 1 & 2) so much that they stand on that pedestal way up high where there should be a 10 star rating allowed, and there was a small part of Peters character that I didn't like... He was judgemental and a bit stiff in the beginning and I didn't like him or connect with him as much as I did Rory. Then there were all the heartbreaking events that Dana suffered, it kind of felt too much, how much can one 20 something person live through and still come out so well rounded?
These are just little niggles and really don't warrant the deduction, but I have to somehow define the difference of my depth of enjoyment between the two stories and can only do that by my rating!
I recommend this series to EVERYONE and want the world to read it and discover for themselves what a fantastic storyteller and `writer' Kay Manis is.

Moto Boy was great Dana and Peter both have struggles but Dana run deep. From what I gathered things are about to get a whole lot more complex in their conclusion.
Kay Manis delivered more than what I was expecting and grasped deeper feelings and hurt than Skater Boy and I didn't think that was possible. Dana was raw in language and in bed but the best part was her heart. Peter was a pleaser and visionary and he pleased Dana and himself until the visions got blurry. I am on to My Moto Boy and hopefully I can sustain the anguish that is sure to unfold.
She "meets" Peter when she spills her beer on him. From that moment she has a feeling she tries to fight.
Peter is a hot motorcyclist that is so opposite of Dana, She has a trucker mouth and tells ya like it is. Peter he hardly ever cusses. He falls for Dana the minute she spills her beer.
Peter has an accident that leaves Dana wanting to care for him but wont let anyone know that. She makes it seem like he is sorta of an inconvenience to be there.
Will Peter tear down her walls?
