Exposed centers around Emily from Book 1's best friend London and the two men she finds herself torn between, Cameron and Cain.
I really enjoyed this book as I knew I would, it was a combination of two genres and boy did it work! The twists and turns kept me guessing and I found myself not wanting to put the book down.
If you loved book 1 keep going through the series, they get better and better....
The characters were mostly rough and tough bikers with a back story, including Cain, the leading man. London was a strong female, likable, and not a typical "damsel in distress" type. I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop. Cain was clearly good for London, and I was rooting for them to get a HEA.
This was the second book I've read by Sapphire Knight, and I am HOOKED! I have already downloaded two other books in her Russkaya Mafiya series. Sapphire Knight has a new fan. (I really hope she is busy writing more Russkaya Mafiya right now because I'm going to run out of her fabulous books at this rate!) My only complaint is that the book wasn't as well edited as it deserved, and that sometimes distracted me as I read.
I do recommend that you read book one, Secrets, before you read this book. It will give you a better understanding of the characters and events leading up to book two. Plus, it's a great read.
I reviewed this book on behalf of A Book Lover's Emporium book blog.
Secrets gives you the history between Cain and London, the depth that there is between the two of them and it is only by getting a handle on all of that will you ever be able to deal with the whole scenario in this the second book in the series.
What they had was the sort of love that you get once, never to be repeated no matter how hard you try. No-one else was ever going to measure up to Cain, but when London leaves to help her friend Emily they part on what can only be described as the worst of terms.
This moody, alpha biker finds it difficult to move on but London seems more content to start again or is she just playing with fire?
She starts to date Cameron, a college try hard who is thinks he has what it takes to join the big guns.
And while what she has with Cameron serves a purpose, it is not a patch on what she had with Cain and she knows it. Cameron is only after the physical side of the relationship but when she discovers a game changer in her life, Cameron doesn’t take the news well.
On her own again, she is shocked when Cain rocks into town on club business.
But is the timing more than just a coincidence? How will he take her news?
I was chomping at the bit to see where this story was heading, really the two of them had an electrifying relationship and I wanted them to get a happy ever after.
But the story is more than just Cain and London.
There are many secondary characters that I found supplemented the story to perfection. I loved the conversation and banter between the guys in the club, the humour and camaraderie was engaging, I completely and I mean completely adore Tate, and I just hope that Cameron has his running shoes on when Tate finds out what he has done behind his back.
I already loved London from Secrets and then bring in Cain - alpha hot male biker...they are sooooo good together!
You met Cameron in Secrets too - Tate's friend trying to make his way in the mafiya.
I don't really like love triangles but this is ok...I wont say anymore as I don't want to add spoilers.
If you liked Secrets (I did) then you will LOVE Exposed.....
I can't really say much more because I thoroughly enjoyed this book and after reading secrets I kinda just wanted to know what the deal was with London acting weird with cam, well now we know.
OKAY ONE THING THAT MAKES ME CRINGE IS 'sugar tits'
Okay so who had a feeling about Cam? *raises hand* SAY NO MORE.
This was a fun read and anyone who has a love for bikers. You will enjoy this, I know I did.
