With Earth now left in ruins following the "Nano Hazard," most of humanity has abandoned the planet they once called home along with their physical bodies and rebuilt their digitalized minds into a society within the cyber universe of "DEVA."
A.D. 2400, DEVA's central council detects an incident of unauthorized access into their mainframe. Someone on Earth was trying to hack into the system. The only information DEVA was able to retrieve was that the hacker referred to himself as "Frontier Setter."
To investigate the mysterious hacker's motives, the high officials of DEVA dispatch System Security Third Officer Angela Balzak to the Earth's surface. Equipped with a prosthetic "material body," Angela attempts to make contact with a local agent Dingo, but what awaited her instead was a swarm of Sandworms now infesting the Earth's surface. Angela intercepts the gruesome pests with her exoskeletal powered suit Arhan.
Will Angela and Dingo be able to find Frontier Setter on this devastated planet? Their journey to explore the secrets of the world begins now...!

It's a sci-fi action film, set in the distant future - some sort of post-apocalyptical setting. With the destruction of much of Earth, the wealthy paid to have their minds uploaded into a virtual reality on board a space station, where they live in a perpetual paradise. Yet their VR is hacked by someone on Earth, where the poor remnants of humankind remain. So a young woman who works as a security officer - who has lived her entire life in the virtual world - has her mind downloaded into a 'real' human body and is sent to Earth, to investigate the hacking. There, she discovers that the hacker means no actual harm - and she reports this to her superiors. They're not happy with this outcome, and decide to archive her mind (in effect, killing her). And so a struggle ensues ... I won't spoil the ending!
This is a very good anime, with an interesting sci-fi story. Yes, there's some so-called 'fan service' (boob and ass shots) - but this is quite minor, more's the pity!
It's a well-made movie, with high production values. The English dub is excellent. Given that it was made for cinema, it transfers to Blu-ray perfectly.
Fully recommended for fans of this sort of anime film. Yet, the RRP of £30 is a lot of money! I'd wait until this product is more reasonably priced (at around £15).
