Here's the deal. She worked for the H for 2 years, lusted after him from afar and then drops them panties the one and only time the H deigns to notice her. They have sex in the boardroom and the next day she loiters around after closing hours hoping to see the H only for him to completely disregard her. She then quits, finds out she's preggars, goes off to Niroli to tell the H, stalks him around the palace, runs around the fields like a lunatic, continues to drop them panties and on and on... it was baaaaad....
The heroine is your typical pregnant Cinderella, except she's stupid as all get out. The more I read, the less I liked her and the more I realized that Susan Stephans clearly doesn't respect her readers enough to put together a decent plot!
I've read romances for years, and one of the key points to these books is to make the heroine likable and believable. This Carrie chick was a pregnant bird brain with a speech impediment and a yen for stalking roylty.
I wasted $5 on this book! I had to throw it away because it so disgusted me. I even picked it out of the trash and skipped ahead to see if it got better. It didn't.
I know its just a serial romance, but I'd really prefer not to waste my time and money on trash. There are trashy novels, and then there are novels meant for the trash. This is one of them.
