Build quality is definately above average for headphones.
1 - Bass is non-existent.
2 - Noise-cancelling is non-existent. Literally.
3 - The noise-cancelling circuitbox is massive, nearly as big as an iPod, and with the big rigid wires coming out of it, the unit is an unwieldy beast.
4 - the cable length between the noise-cancelling circuitbox and the the earphones is only long enough to only just reach my desk, so because of this and combining with point 3, as soon as I turn my head, the big box drops off my desk pulling the earphones out. If I try and leave the circuitbox off my desk, I need to wear a daft necklace to carry the circuitbox, otherwise the weight of the box again just pulls the earphones out.
5 - the external part of the earphone is too big and bulky. The set comes with three different size buds which means you can vary the size of the in-ear part of the headphone, but even with a perfect fit, they are not strong enough to stop the external part of the earphone slipping - and this just adds to the tinny sound and lack of noise cancelling 'qualities'.
Honestly, I would have been better buying a standard pair of headphones from a recognised make.
It may be that on a plane, these will work better.
I bought these on the back of a 5 star rating, so my expectations were high and obviously unrealistic.
As a pair of headphones they are below average (and this is based on comparisons with basic headphones costing no more than a tenner).
As a pair of noise-cancelling headphones, they are rubbish.
