En förvirrad splatterfilmsklippare på ett amerikanskt filmbolag spränger sig själv i luften när avdelningschefen Sam Campbell försöker ta sig in i hans låsta rum. Sam måste snabbt hitta en ersättare och det blir Edward, en beskedlig redigerare på kulturfilms-avdelningen. För att filmerna inte skall bli totalförbjudna i Europa måste Edward klippa bort de mest groteska scenerna ur filmserien Loose Limps. Han blir placerad i ett ensligt beläget hus med sina filmer och ett klippbord. Hans enda kontakt med omvärlden är telefonsamtalen med hustrun. Efter ett tag börjar den prydlige Edward se syner: vanställda ansikten, avhuggna armar och Gremlins-liknande monster i kylskåpet. Snart börjar de filmer som först fick honom att må så illa, bli ett nödvändigt ont. Den snälle Edward blir Ed - Evil Ed.... Swedish film from 1997 by Anders Jacobsson with Gert Fylking and Cecilia Ljung. A confused splatter film editor at a U.S. film company detonates himself in the air when the head Sam Campbell tries to get into his locked room. Sam must quickly find a replacement and there is Edward, a good-natured editor of culture film department. For the films should not be banned in Europe, Edward cut away the most grotesque scenes from the film series Loose Limp. He will be seated in an isolated house located in his films and a clipboard. His only contact with the world's telephone conversations with his wife. After a while it starts dapper Edward see visions: disfigured faces, severed arms and Gremlin-like creatures in the refrigerator. Soon begins the film that first made him feel so bad, become a necessary evil. The kindly Edward becomes Ed - Evil Ed ....
