Ms. Wendell's take is right on as far as what romance novels teach you (and don't teach you) about romance and love.
I would recommend this book highly to anyone who is interested as to WHY they read romance novels vs. science fiction or another gendre. It is a humorous and entertaining filled with insights you might never see anywhere else.
Read it - you'll like it!
The book reads like fiction, creative non-fiction, reference book with a very personal tone. It's an intelligent, witty overview of a fiction genre that has been so grossly misunderstood.
It's well written, passionate, and some of the readers and writers comments were really heartwarming and touching.
It's an essential read and a wonderful book.
